What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Today was a Powertrax No Slip install day. I just got back from making some 11's along the railroad tracks under the cover of dark. Well, how dark is Los Angeles county on a Friday night...? 1 tire fire is gone

 

I got the SUPER (like.....foot+ long ones) from home depot... I think Dewalt makes them... they are in the drill bit section obviously...

Pretty easy honestly.. I unbolted the front bolt as much as possible..but left it in to hold the bracket and sway bar in place... the tilted the bracket down on the backside.. squeezed a Dremel in there and cut through about half the aft end bolt.. the smacked it away with a punch and hammer..

Then stuck a 1/4" size ..LONG.. drill bit in the bottom hole to drill a top pilot.. then widened it out with a 3/8 bit..

Then ran a 3/8" grade 8 bolt with washers and nuts through the whole thing.

3/8 is the biggest bolt that will fit without widening the hole in the bracket itself.. which is weird... because the hole in the frame will fit a 1/2....

 

I did a trutrac a few months ago.. I love that thing....

Gets me out in coral canyon and otay just fine

 

I'm not worried. Don't plan on locking and unlocking my truck from far away.

 

Lift installed

 

Installed wheel bearings/hubs both sides... no more shaking!!!!!

I wanting to install some lights under the doors that turn on and off with the dome light and when the doors are open does any one know of a mod thread?

It's a shitload of little screws and tabs. But not terribly difficult
