It's a dash kit from scosche.com. You can find them cheaper on Ebay. There's another company that makes one that some say is a little more solid, but I've had no problems with mine and it matches the dash.

Hey where did you get the LEDs for your tacoma? How did you wire them? I mean how do they turn on with the amps? I want some LEDs under my seat for some foot well lighting. Well I wanna light up my amps a little bit.

I got mine sent to me when I had the amp board made. I've seen the same lights in car audio stores. You can also Google LED lighting and get a ton of options. Try LED ambient lighting. Some come with remotes so you can turn them off if you ever want to.

Very nice, but, as far as I am concerned, scotch locks for wire connectors?
There will be times you will open the dash again troubleshooting for loose connections.
    take care

How did you hook them up? How do they turn on? I was going to use the wire for the amp but I think the LEDs take to much power. Any pics of how you hooked them up?

I don't know that I have another week to do an install (LOL), but I most certainly can help out on yours. Just PM me if you need some help.

Thanks!! I had the board made by ********* when I ordered the sub box. I actually didn't know they were going to cut "TACOMA" in the board... I just ordered one. He threw that in with the lights when I told him I would do a write-up on my install with pictures and post it here. It's actually not hard to do if you happen to have a jig saw and a router.

I actually cut some extra wiring from a trailer light kit I installed on my boat trailer. You can use any wire really, but this worked fine. I ran both the +/- wires from connections at the LED's behind the amp board, along the side with the speaker wires, and up into the space behind and to the right of the glove box. I attached the + to the power wire of my XM unit and the - to the ground of the XM unit, which cuts off when the HU is turned off. Basically, the LED's now act the same as my amps, which only come on when the head unit is on because of the blue remote wire.
Here are some photos... in the first, you can see the connections I started on the left:

Here you can see the brown/yellow wire attached to the LED's at the top of the picture:

Here, you can see the XM receiver is zip tied to the computer bracket with padding as well (I know it's cheesy, but it works beautifully). In front of the XM towards the glove box, you can see the blue crimp (BTW, those crimps have never failed me... that's why I still use them). Here is where I spliced into the power for the XM. When the radio goes off, the XM unit goes off, the LEDs go off... And vice versa. Hope this helps...

    nice looking setup bud,

Does ********* send the parts coated already?

I have a bunch of audio equipment sitting here waiting for me to find a new truck :)

Do you think a 10W6V2 would fit in that box?

    Justin
