Well, everyone paid the $6 shipping he asked for, and then most sent an additional $3 because he said he couldn't fit them into the cheap boxes, and needed to use bigger ones. Why he couldn't just pay for regular shipping in non-priority boxes is beyond me.

Then again, he was charging $6 to put them in the $4.95 flat rate boxes and complaining about losing money, so can't really trust his reasoning.

He also bought ~10 extra PL5300s, which he said he was going to ship to me and other people that missed the cutoff date originally (even though he didn't get them ordered until about 6 months after the cutoff date, and could have just added us originally), and he's sitting on those locks. Wouldn't deal with me until after he had this OTHER order (8520s) finished, but he never got around to that. Imagine he's going to just ebay the extra 10 locks, and make about $25/30 a lock on that.

All while complaining about how hard this all is, and how he's going to lose money

Someone that is involved with this situation needs to get on the horn and contact him directly, or better yet, give his coach a call. I'm sure he will blow some fire. If that doesn't work, simply contact the authority and report a theft.

After all, it sure wouldn't be hard to get all of his contact information. FWIW there are member(s) on here with his contact info.

Sorry guys, no PM from Dan regarding my Richmond trip. I'm not sure what more I can do, I'm waiting on my 8520 as well....:(

This is really a bad nightmare. No more GB's for me, period.

This is no way changes my feelings for TW and the members I have come across. You guys are the BEST!!:D

Thanks for trying, though! I guess I'll have to try Luke at Truck Alterations for my 8520. Truly disappointing...regrets to the rest of the crew waiting for 8520s. :(

And I thought this was going on for too long when I finished with it

Has anyone tried to dispute the charges on their credit card??? I'd assume it's too late to dispute with paypal.

Anyone called him yet? Curious to see how this winds up.

And was annoyed at first, but so glad that he was so disorganized that he couldn't manage to take my money for this order. I tried to give it to him several times, and he just had me wait. Lucked out, it seems!

Wow, at this point I would say he is either dead, dieing, or ran off with the cash.

Could be. Another scenario is a college kid constantly moving back and forth with dozens of boxes. Maybe he lost the box of remaining locks or someone stole it and he doesn't have the cash to replace them. But, then, why wouldn't he just post here and fess up before someone gets the law involved?

Has anyone used one of the people search thingys to look for the last name Germroth in Virginia?

I'd say he is hoping this just goes away and he keeps the locks and money. Then sells them on eBay once it quiets down.

We use Searchbug.com with a lot of success in my job but I couldn't find anything on that name in VA. Where is he originally from? Virginia?

Has anyone notified the local police?

I can encourage and make recommendations but I can't get involved because he isn't holding my money. If he was, I would be on the horn to any relative I could find, his rugby coach, other school officials and definitely local law enforcement.

He has had no activity on TW since his last post in this thread.

Not sure how you all paid for these, but if you used Paypal make sure you tell them.
It really sucks that this guy is doing more damage by not contacting anybody.

Even if it is past the time period when you can expect to get a refund an email to Paypal explaining the situation couldn't hurt. Maybe Paypal will at least contact him.

Just found his Facebook profile. Typed in germ813@yahoo.com in the Facebook search bar. He's still active on THAT site. Left him a message. We'll see what happens...
