I just picked my buck up from the taxidermist tonight, a little over 3 months it took, but it was worth the wait..I'm very happy.

The pics are kinda crappy, but it looks better in person.

A 3 month wait around here is unheard of! The average wait for the locals here is around 8 months and thats a quicker time... Good looking mount....

thats what I told the taxi...He said yea, pretty much if you can get it in early(sept-october) you will have it back pretty soon. I dropped the cape off on oct. 10th, and he said he had it tanned and back to him in like the first week in nov.

3 months is not a bad wait. here in VA it takes a long time. the guy i take it too does the tanning himself, which is a big bonus that it doesnt have to be sent all around the country. im not gonna get it back till june/july. that buck has real nice mass though. congrats

my dad had one done back in 89, and he said his was around a year for the wait. I was almost floored when the taxi called and said my head is done..I was expecting a shit job..But its actually the other way around, this guy is so meticulous(sp) he molded the deer to damn near life again. All the muscles in the neck, ruffled fur on the side from it turning..just stuff you cant appreciate without actually seeing it.
