OK cool thanks. I am wanting to put some on my '99. How did you deal with not having mounting clips? ....2 sided tape?

 

No tape or anything just bolted them where the OEM ones were...its literally that simple lol

 

Yeah they just bolt up on the underside lip, just like if you got a set of bushwackers.

 

Thanks, I know the 01-04 flares have the clips to attach to the side of the fender for those years. I have seen others do this mod and since the 98-00 don't have the holes for the clips in the fender to get a snug fit they use 3m two sided tape instead. Was not aware they could work well with out using anything in the clips place.

 

Yep they don't move at highway speeds or anything...even at 90mph...lol

Best off road rig I've ever owned.
Was thinking of using it as a coffin
but since I'm gonna be ashes anyways

Might as well leave it to my son to do with as he chooses.

'cause selling it... would make me sad and require an effort.

It still looks near as new, as the day I bought it
and is barely broken in at only 146K

where did you get that grille?

 

AEM 320lph fuel pump install (works for OEM pump just don't modify anything)


Step 1. lift bed for fuel tank access (bed bolts 17mm x4-6 depending on model)

Step 2. fourwheeler tires. (prop it up)

Step 3. Assort and remember connector and pipe locations

Step 4. Undo pump bolts (8mm x8)

Step 5. Here's what you're after.

New AEM next to smol Toyota

Step 6. Undo this/these


Step 7. wiggle pump from grommet

Step 8. Fully remove smol Yota

AEM connector

Step 9. adapt to Yota connector (I simply removed the Toyota wires and soldered to the left over crimps and shoved it all back into the plug) (AEM install only)


Step 10. Modify pickup as necessary, and file down any burrs. (also blow through the tube to rid it of any metal dust) (AEM install only)

Step 11. Install AEM to toyota connector and tighten worm clamps. (AEM install only) I had to modify the AEM grommet to fit the tacoma pump bracket.

Step 12. Install AEM pre filter (AEM install only...obviously)
Step 13. Reassembly is reverse of removal.

Made it home, no fires!!

Nice! With the Walboro you have to shorten the hard line that it connects to. This is definitely and easier install.

Edit...NVRMD, I just looked at the pics again and saw you still had to do that. Still came out nicely.

I like your doohickies! What kind of inverter and voltmeter? Is the inverter hooked up to the battery directly?

 

Thanks! Voltmeter is one from ebay, got one the one that said it was for boats hahaha, but I think they are all the same.

Also the inverter I got about 7 years ago, I honestly don't remember. I will pull it out at some point and let you know but I don't have time. It is hooked to the fusebox so that it only comes on with the car. I don't want the battery to drain on me.

 

Where'd you get the inclinometer?
