I know once something is in your hand that gives you more than 2", you get nervous and unsure.

Very true, I may buy some as well even though mine isn't due for probably another 6 months. The wife works from home so doesn't drive the Camry much & it won't be due for a year or so. 2012 with a little over 20k miles. Haha

A year or so? I'm no expert for sure, but doesn't oil break down over time even if you're not putting on the miles? Or is that just bullshit to get people to buy oil.

Thank you! I am in the process of looking for my first taco. Selling my current DD and looking for a low mileage used taco from 2011, maybe 2012. I really like the 2011 body style, but the dash out of the 2012+.

The additive package can begin to break down, not the oil itself. If you aren't driving much, you want the additives that disperse water and hold the other crap in suspension.

What area are you in? Be weary of frame rust. Honestly, I would just go for a 12+ if you like the dash. I really liked the older front end but I'm very glad I got my 15!!! It's the best looking truck on the road IMHO

Have a bunch of grass underneath the truck I need to get out from driving though some 4ft overgrown stuff yesterday on my "test drive" lol

Yeah, I've been thinking that. While I prefer the look of the older exterior, I will spend more time looking at the dash. I live in the Midwest, so rust is an issue here.

Sounds like you have a good idea of what you are looking for!!! I'm going to wish you luck on the quest for your very own Tacoma!!!

This is my first truck/first new vehicle and I can honestly say I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. Are you looking for a 4X4?

My Tacoma is a PreRunner 2wd.

Ah. I drive plenty of miles so it doesn't apply to me, but that makes sense
