    I just had my truck aligned at Toyota Friday... your alignment specs look like they could do a little bit better. Take it back ASK them if they can improve on what they did... looks like its all over the place there in the front... just sayin

    No point with stock UCAs and 3" lift.

    You're outside what you're able to dial in.

    Yeah probably right about that.. I am on the edge with 5100's and 885's @ ~1.75" lift.

    But still if they gave me my truck back with those numbers I'd be like: "you want me to PAY for that?"

    To be fair. What can they do with a truck that can't be properly aligned?

    Owner should know better than the tech, the tech is only going to be able to do what they can with what you provide them.

    1.75" like yours is still within stock UCA adjustability. 3" is not.

    You don't want an alignment to be "in spec" when you're lifted. Specs are for stock trucks and lifted trucks benefit from a different set of numbers.

    Nodding back to it being the responsibility of the owner to know what he's asking for and do some reading as to why - you can walk in and say "I want as much of this and as little of this as I can get." A good tech will try and do that, but you will end up borrowing some of one to get the other and have a less than ideal alignment no matter what.

    3" lifts require UCAs. Period.

    Get some. Go get an alignment at a quality shop (not the dealer) and don't ask for OEM specs. Research alignments here and walk in with a clue and you'll fare better than you are now.

    my question is though can you put aftermarket ucas on it or do they HAVE to be adjustable to get it right?

    that's what I was just looking at.
    Looks like he has significant positive camber. Which would explain excessive tire wear on the outside of the tire.

    Aftermarket UCAs have built in corrections. Adjustable just means you can adjust it. Either will be better.

    I would get SPC LR UCAs (which are adjustable). They even cost less than 2 ruined tires. ;)

    That isn't how his tires look when they're spinning down the road. That isn't a sign of a bad alignment.

    I'll probably be getting an alignment from the dealer as well since I was going to get the dealer to install my Fox suspension, just so I can keep the warranty.

    So you're saying after I get them to do it, probably pass by a proper off road shop that is used to dealing with lifts and get them to perform another alignment?

    The dealer won't align outside of factory specs, at least ours out where I live.

    If you're lifting much, particularly with aftermarket UCAs then a dealer alignment would likely be a total waste of money.

    Do you know what the alignment numbers should be at a 3" lift? I'm about to pull the trigger on some light racing uca's and would like to know what to tell my alignment guy.

    Really depends on the driving you do and how you like it to feel.

    But do a search for "alignment" and put jberry813 as the poster and read up. He's the go to alignment guy and knows his shit.

    Underworld Flex trifold, tinted, TRDPRO grill, TRDPRO shift knob, etc,etc
    Is your steering wheel spoke straight as you drive down an even road?
    Is there a vibration at hwy speeds at the steering wheel or seat?
    Does the vehicle consistently pull to one side or the other when driving straight on a firm level road??

    Answers to these questions may provide some clue as to the state of the alignment and may help point to the proper repair procedure
