Let me get this straight because I could not understand what you were saying

So the dealer is supposed to do QAQC on crankshaft position sensor on every vehicle that goes through their lot?

Dealer prep and checks absolutely yes, but checking the QAQC on each part? I hope that's not what you are saying.....

its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
the OP was complaining about build quality and how bad Toyota trucks reliability has sank, I have owned 4 Toyota trucks 3 I bought new and this one I bought used everyone had issues in which I had to return under warranty to get straightened out Recalls,TSBs,other and after this was done they all clocked over 100k miles and a couple over 230k miles without a single major part failure the problem here is that people who aren't really TRUCK people or aren't too swift on how the to deal with the Dealership maze with resolving the issues are stating that Toyota trucks suck, this Forum is for helping people with these issues and resolving them (if they really exist) not coming on a Toyota truck web and pretty much saying Toyota trucks suck, and Im saying if you think that then get a different truck or better get a car.

OK I understand now, I was confused. You were talking to the OP. Not sure why you responded to me because I was saying it is Toyota's responsibility to ensure the QAQC on their vehicles regardless if a part they used is outsourced. That, and the your posts are a bit run on - one sentence 150 words and the other 174 words makes it tough to read....just saying.

Read post #53 including the quoted message. The person I quoted said it was not Toyota's fault for a faulty CPS in their vehicle. My response was, yes it is their fault because it's their name on the truck and it's Toyota who sources the parts and should be doing all the QAQC checks and audits..

I never once said Toyota would not fix the problem if the truck was under warranty. I said - it's Toyota's fault for putting a faulty CPS in the truck in the first place. Other people have complained about the same issue of a faulty CPS, so it's not a one off.

    I give up. :bananadead:

Using that logic then Chrysler has just as good quality as Toyota because even if they produce garbage that leaves you stranded, or the door handle falls off, or the transmission explodes - well as long as they cover it under warranty that the quality is top notch!!!

I rest my case, cause they have less problems and their quality even with these issues is far superior than any other light truck manufacturer foreign or domestic

Yes, for failure for quality assurance on airbags.
That said, do you realize that most auto manufacturers do not build 100% of the parts they use in their vehicles? Was 1gen Tacoma 100% Toyota built parts or how about 2gen Tacoma? Is Toyota responsible for the rusted frames some 2gen Tacoma have experienced?

imo, Toyota is responsible for their vehicles no matter who made the parts they use. Same goes for any auto company.
