    Hi all,
Bought 17 last weekend. Since them I have removed front air dam and today I took some badges off. The rear door Sr5 and v6 from the tail. Also painted my front emblem white. I know I bought a low sr5, but it's all I need. I have a question about the rear bumper. I previously owned a 2007 up until 5 weeks ago. It was stolen from my driveway on August 23rd. Hence the new 17. My old rear bumper was chromed steel vs the new one chromed plastic. Question is... is it only body clips holding them on and how easy are they to remove?

Decided it was time to do something to my 3 week old TRD and painted my front skid a deep red to match the lettering.

9 pull tabs - 3 below each bumper cap 2 at side/quarter 1 behind license plate.
    2 tabs under center
Remove license plate lights and tow plug
    Center can be lifted now.
The two tabs on each cap can be released.
Then you can carefully pull off.
Go slow and use your eyes and you will figure it out.

I strip about a quarter inch of the wire twisted really tight then solder them and force them right in holds very good but it's just temporary I'm get an aftermarket alarm system install and I want them to put that lock on the trunk button

Only issue with that is the trunk button only unlocks. It doesn't lock with the doors so it'll be pretty much pointless. Now you could tie in into the lock and unlock circuit and diode isolate it away from that circuit when you tie into the truck release. That way the doors won't unlock when you hit trunk release. That would require an installer with a clue which is pretty difficult to find. I ran a car stereo shop for 9 years, it's very hard to find people that know what they're doing.

Bought some OBA from ARB. Saw a few other guys use this area to mount it and I ended up just getting some thicker angle iron with the holes from Lowes. Looks good just gonna bounce a little. I think I might tie it down better/build a supper later but I doubt it deals with that much force right there. Plus it's not very heavy.

    Just gotta wire it up.

I get what you're saying they told me it can get done I just didn't want to pay $100 to install it and run the wire to the front so I did all that hard work myself. But I would definitely make sure that the trunk locks when the doors gets lock and armed.

I edited my original post. It absolutely can be done, they just have to know what they're doing. Diodes or relays to isolate the truck release circuit away from the door unlock circuit and you're good to go.

I use this YouTube video Watch from 8:30 to end I'll put the link down below when I followed it and I put the wires like he said my Poplock did the reverse when I press the lock button it unlocked when I press the unlock button locked so all I did was reversed the wires. https://youtu.be/KyzdTEV_sBI
