First-Gen Window Visors

Looking for window visors to keep water out with the windows cracked. Water always gets in after washing or during a shower with the window down and I'm looking for a cheap solution. I don't care if they're black or smoke, long as they're black and don't have the red tint I've seen. Will need front and back for a double cab 1st gen since it will look silly without all four. I've heard the fronts just snap in and the backs are adhesives but it really doesn't matter to me. If anyone has any, or knows where to buy them help would be greatly appreciated, can't find them on Amazon!

How do you like them? Do you get noticeable airflow coming out? Would you say its worth it?

 

Very much so...When it's cold and raining, with the heat on to keep the windshield clear, you won't suffocate! They ventilate the cab without the turbulence of simply lowering the window when it's not raining. When I park the truck in the heat, I lower the windows an inch or so to ventilate the cab.

 

I love the Weathertech in-channel rain guards. I smoke in mine and have put them in every vehicle I have owned over the years. If needed I can take them out at any time and just slide them back in.

Currently, I keep my windows cracked due to the heat and when it rains nothing gets in. I may have an occasional bee or something but thats it.

 

Awesome, I might end up getting some for my rig then. How do they hold up to the sun? Any problems with haziness or them getting brittle?

 

I've never had a problem with them on any of my other vehicles. The ones on the Tacoma have only been on there for about 6 months or so. The Weathertech sticker is the only thing that has curled up in the sun so i just peeled it off.

 

No problems with mine: been on for several years.

 

Weathertech's FTMFW... floor mats too for that matter! Love mine, though I thought it was silly they included visors for the Xtra Cab kick-out windows

Nice, I didn't know they went to the in channel design with the first gens. Or have they always? For some reason I thought they didn't, regardless these are some slick looking visors I can finally buy. I have a hard time looking at the visors that stick to the outside.
Now if only we can get weathertech to do the fitted floor mats for the 2000 Tacoma....

 

They list them for the 2001-2004 1st gens. Are the floor pans any different? I would love a set of Weathertech mats for my ride. Huskyliners make fitted floor mats, but a buddy of mine has them on his jeep and I personally don't like how slick they are (that molded 'diamond plate' does not hing to help traction)

 

Yeah, the floors are different. Not sure how much difference there is, but it's enough for them to end the vehicle compatability with 2001.

 

I have the Husky liners and am thinking of getting the Weathertechs instead. Had Weathertechs on the Tundra and Audi but when I called Weathertech they said they didn't have anything for a double cab so I went with the Huskys. Not the best fit so I will be switching.

I have in channel AVS brand. They stick out more than the weather tech and are about half the cost. Whatever way you go, I'd get in channel for sure.

 

Woah, half the cost? I gotta check that out. I know weathertech is proud of their products, hence the price for plastic. They do make a very nice product though. Glad I didn't order them quite yet, more options is never a bad thing.

The weather techs do look nice, all snug up against the window, but sometimes I'm cheap. I went w an AVS bug deflector too. I'll post up a few pics on the window vents in a few
