    I really wish mine would!
I tried everything I could think of; allen wrench, breaker bar with allen socket, breaker bar with allen socket plus cheater pipe, impact shock(forward light- reverse heavy-repeat, getting on it more till it pops loose), gentle-ish torch... nothing. true I was not going full bastard and was trying not to strip it out but it would not budge...

anyway pump is the only way left to go for me and it worked perfectly... I did use it to fill too.

My drain plug is pretty much circular in the middle now, it's so stripped. Combination of softened, rusted metal and a super tight seal is no good. It's not coming out unless I get an allen key or socket welded in it. So I've had to use the drain-from-fill-plug method to get fluid out. I've replaced the fill plug, so that's not a huge issue anymore, but I'd really like to be able to drain it properly. I'll have to get that welding done at some point and then buy a new drain plug. Eventually.....

I always read about these getting stuck. I must have gotten lucky with mine, it just loosened right up. I made sure my Allen wrench was seated all the way and very snug to begin with though

I know man, everything was done right and it showed. Remember seeing his engine bay spotless clean/shiny and that supercharger and was just like ... I have unabashed love for both those rigs, but I guess if your a 1st gen guy its pretty much sacrilege to not love them :D

I put pry ~300 ft pounds on mine with 5 sec at full trigger on an aircat impact wrench rated for 490+ ft pounds torque and it would not budge a fraction... I got unlucky I guess. although it is not stripped out as I was fully seated in a direct line. I was having trouble with the breaker bar trying to cam sideways out of the hole and came close to stripping it that way...

Yesterday I purchased (or had delivered) these items.
    20160925_171348.jpg
The most important item is that harbor freight 1.25" to 2" hitch adapter. My wife and I have a receiver hitch mounted bike rack. This is going to be installed on my wife's Subaru to eliminate her new excuse to barrow my truck.

This morning the neighbor hired someone to run a skid loader in her back yard.
    20160925_085148.jpg
I put my 2 year old on a ladder with a PB&J and strung him to a tree with a harness in case the ladder fell and that skid loader was the best dang baby sitter EVER. Just enough time to get 6 of the 12 bolts off my bumper.
    20160925_163140.jpg
Bumper is was removed for rust removal (phosphoric acid and wire brush) and chassis saver application but i ran out of daylight. Also for design/planning of my rear bumper build.

I've had a bit of trouble with bolts and like items on this truck. Bolt heads snapping using hand tools, while loosening, things rounding (though this is definitely partly due to my 12 point sockets, I really need 6 points), and things just not loosening. But this drain plug was already pretty rounded before I ever got to it. Either a PO tried to remove it or this Jersey rust is really taking its toll. Some of these bolts look far worse than my frame, which I can't really complain about haha.

In my shed i found this today
    pACE3-1244872enh-z7.jpg
I was wondering if it offers any protection to the muffler. It prevented rust on my indoor wood stove but that is indoors. The muffler is kinda rusty but not bad. might be oem. I wire brushed a small square of rust off the muffler and painted this on half of the little square as a poorly replicated experiment. Please speak up if high temp wood stove paint is commonly known to work or not work.

Many Thanks. It seems to be hard wired in most kids. They love 'big machines.' and now mine loves "monster trucks" so i will use him as an excuse to buy bumpers and bigger tires.

Mine made it well over 250,000 miles and was still good when I replaced it. The stock one is pretty beefy. I don't think painting it will make much difference. Prolly won't hurt though.

Finished my OBA install the other day but never posted pics, so here it is. Two Viair 444C on a 6 port manifold with a 150 psi pressure switch that switches them back on at 120psi. Works well for filling tires thus far :)
