i would go with no emblem but still put some lights in behind it. Is it a pain in the ass to get your hood open now without your stock grille?

I would first spend the money on clear corners and clear blinkers, it will look so much better than the amber look.

The lights would be prety much impossible. Since its recessed there is not enough room to fit any lights behind it, Just ask Lents. And about the hood it opens with no problems, it is the stock grill. You dont mod. the grill in the location of the hood latch.

That looks so good. I plan on doing the same thing with my devil horn emblem.
    I voted chrome Toyota emblem.

BTW I think you should place it in the middle.

this is weird, I was just about to start the exact same thread for my 98, the exact same body style with a grillcraft grille. Thanks for starting this though, now i can just mooch of your results! haha, but I would edit your poll to include the TOYOTA emblem. And also I dont know how you feel about the TRD emblem in the corner, but I really like that look and thats what I'm leaning towards with mine. Out of the options you have I would keep it clean

    1. TOYOTA
    2. trd in the corner
    3. chrome emblem

This is what I would do in order of how much I like it.

IMO the black looks like crap unless you painted the rest of your grille black.

Yeah I would have put the TOYOTA in the poll but I forgot and I dont know how to edit the poll. But I will prob. keep it with no emblem untill I find a good deal/save up the money on a TOYOTA emblem. Thanks keep the suggestions coming!!!

Although an actual FJ40 TOYOTA emblem would be the best, they're expensive. Instead, just grab one off a mini truck or old 4runner. I have like 4 from various junkyards. They're free!

But def do the TOYOTA, blacked out. Not the emblem and NO CHROME!
