Evening Everyone

Been a very warm day even with gusty Santa Ana winds , it was 104 deg today !!! . I spent most of the day getting the Camaro ready and still have a lot of stuff needed done

 

It's always a work in project.

Found an easy way to lose weight ..

Clay bar entire car

Apply polishing / glaze compound

Apply wax

Apply show car polish on top of that followed by wiping down with detail spray

Mind you this is in 104 deg heat in a garage with very little air flow and drink 8 bottles of water and still feel parched

 

Yep that's not a good thing to have happen , turn it off then shut off gas to appliance then call a maintenance tech

You Do it because you want to. I do it because I have to. It's a lot easier to do because you love what you have in front of you. Everything I have in front of me is a piece of shit with someone hanging over my shoulder...

 

With a drive like yours I'd keep the 4 - 10's if at all possible. yeah, longer days suck, but having the extra day off makes it worthwhile.

the sacrifices we have to make for work hope you like the new shift. Hope the new stove comes in soon.

Yea that was me in the 70's. I could pull gears with the best around. I think I could still do a pretty good job. With lenco's and rock crushers the norm now the art of speed shifting is going away. My fav driver to watch was Ronnie Sox. I learned a lot from him

 

When I was 18 in the late 70's I used to go to Fremont Drag strip up in Norcal . I really enjoyed watching the NHRA Modified Production class . Those were insanely high rpm baby sbc motors like 283's and 327's that would scream to 9500 rpm even ing the waterbox or doing a dry hop

That is what got me into drag racing and used to race a 427BBC 68 Camaro with a Verti gate M22 4spd. Back then I was a killer on the tree and was very good with that Verti gate

When I got assigned my first duty station in the Marine Corps in 1982 it was a MCAS El Toro and right next store was OCIR Drag strip . I spent every hour i could over there racing the 1/4 mile

 

Good evening, although think it is about bed time for me. Been packing, cleaning, greasing boots, etc. all day. Did cook a couple of steaks this evening. Went with Prime Ribeye. Bit windy tonight so got the sear part of the sear and slide down pretty well

good morning all! I know it's Monday for those of us who are off enjoy the day! to the rest of us make the most of it. come on 2:30

 

did drive the truck to work today need a headlight for the little car. still very pleased with the new tires and how well they ride and how quiet they are. they give a little bump steer I guess due to the taller side walls but minimal.
