S&W Sigma .40?

Does anyone like these? They're available here for about $300 with a $50 manufacturer's discount, so $250 for a new .40 cal pistol seemed like a good deal.

I realize the Sigma series are the most basic offered, but I'm looking for something to just start getting into handguns with. I've been shooting various calibers and models at the range (rental) to see what I like, and that has been leaning me away from what I had initially thought (I thought I would get a 357 magnum at first, but it's a bit bulkier than I'd really like; I liked the 9mm equivalent of this gun, but 9mm is a bit of a dinky round.)

Thoughts? Of course I plan on taking training and looking into get a CC permit if I buy.

 

i got 2 xds in 40s@w and one xdm 40s@w i like the 40s@w im going to get the xdm 3.8 when it comes out in 40s@w just to keep all ammo the same, when ammo was hard to find i could always find 40s@w

 

Go for it! S&W is one of the best out there IMO, and you can't go wrong with the .40S&W.

 

Yeah, I was really just wondering if anyone had problems with the Sigma's... I know they're S&W's budget line, so I didn't know if anyone had had quality problems or anything.

 

It is a good gun. My brother has one. The trigger pull is stiff and there is no safety. Very accurate and great look. but with that stiff pull on it make the gun shake until you get used to firing it. It also wears out your fingers after putting 100 rds through it.
