I am having trouble finding a wheel that i like. To me, on a magnetic grey truck, the black wheels are too black and the bright wheels are too bright.

Has anyone painted their OEM or aftermarket wheels to match the truck? Any pics? I think such wheels might look really nice.

Alternatively... are there any finishes that wheels come in which would more closely match the hue of magnetic grey.. without modifications such as painting or powder coating?

    Thanks for any help.

Interesting, I have not yet seen black/silver wheels with the silver around the bead instead on the center. I think That is pretty tasteful. Nice setup by the way. Definitely going to consider those as an option.

Does anyone have a picture of Teflon Coated wheels on their Magnetic Gray? I made it half way through the magnetic gray thread and didn't see any, and now it is time to go offline for a while. :(

I am looking at ATX Chambers specifically, but any with a similar finish would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Im not sure if all ATX rims are the same but my ATX Thugs are not completely black. They are more og a really really dark grey. They look black in pictures but they arent. Well even in person from a distance they look black but from pretty close, you can tell they are more of a darker grey.

Theres a great example. With the sun hitting the rims, u can tell they are a darker gray. I'm not sure if mine is that gray but u get the point.

Thank you for all of the responses, everyone has been very helpful.

I am very intrigued by the teflon wheels, I think that they look amazing mounted on a magnetic gray truck. I plan to look at them in person, and if they don't meet my wishes I am going to check out these black w/ silver bead rims.

Again, thanks everyone, this dilemma has been bugging me ever since I purchased the truck last month.

I just found a great tire/wheel package on 4wheelparts.com, and I am now curious what TPMS sensors you ordered with the tire/wheel package. It seems that the site doesn't have sensors for 2010 tacomas...

Thanks again for the replies... I just ordered my tire package from 4wheelparts.com. Thanks Grey Beauty! Great site and prices. Rep!

I ended up with 265/75/16 Wrangler Duratracs and Teflon/Black ATX Chambers. Thanks for the input on teflon wheels guys. Rep!

Cant wait to post pictures of this setup.

Ouch... called 4wheelparts.com today so as to add lugnuts to my order, wnd was told that my order had "problems". They said the 16" Atx chambers would not fit over my calipers (even though the website allowed me to order them specifically for the tacoma), and then told me that the "in stock" tires that I ordered were in fact not in stock. I may have to choose another vendor when i figure out this wheel situation, they have not given me much to be confident about.

    Thanks anyways guys.

Damn, I was considering the ATX chambers on my mag grey tacoma. Those would def look great on our trucks. Let me know if find out otherwise. For now, I think I'm going to paint my wheels flat black. I think your truck looks pretty good with those black wheels.

Fourwheelparts was wrong or just playing it safe. I ordered the Chambers from tirerack.com who assured me they would fit, and they did. Thanks for the compliment... the combo looks great and have had several comments on them, they are almost a match for the magnetic grey... which is what I wanted.

One of the previous posters was right though... in certain lighting the wheels have a greenish hue to them, but I rarely notice it and it has never bothered me.

My only wish is that Mag Gray would show up better in pictures.... the truck and the wheels look SO much better in person.

Great news!! I know what you mean about the mag grey's in photos. Would you be willing to share a photo of your new wheels on your truck?

What size tires are you using on those chambers?
