Yep. Do the numbers. See if the deal works. That's basically the decision point; does it cost you more to take this offer than continuing the remainder of the lease and then buying. That's just math and will objectively show the cost of each option.

Depends, as usually it is with most things in life.

If I take a Section 179 deduction, than my Company leases it. Depreciates it over 3 years, and sells it back to me at a VERY depreciated rated ;) OR there are times, I lease the vehicle, and take the .56c a mile for all my business travel, essentially making the personal use free and even more.

Of course you can always purchase the vehicle and lease it back to your company.

Not really relevant in this thread as no one wants to be bored with Tax law and implications thereof ;)

Do it if you want to, if you can afford it and it makes you happy! Life's too short to keep us away from what we want.

.. and that is an example of why I was specific in saying leasing hasn't been the right thing for me. I'm certainly aware that it can be a boon in some circumstance. They've never applied to my situation though. :D

Will do the numbers, and see, maybe have new pictures up this week, maybe not...

never leased before, don't think I will in the future. So my advise, don't lease, thats just giving your money away IMO.

Ok, if you walk in and walk out with a new vehicle, and cheaper monthly rental fee, then shit ya, get the new truck. Other wise I ask this, if the dealer did not call you, would you consider getting rid of your current ride, I think that is your answer.

Ridgeline might be the right truck for you then.

I am not sure where you are located but in my area there are several dealers I shopped around finding the best deal (lease or buy). You do not have to turn the vehicle into the dealer you leased it from. I would take the offer you already have and go on every dealer web site in my area and start a conversation. Internet sales have the highest volume of sales so they can make less per deal. Use each dealers offer to talk down the next until you get the best price.

Is your advice based on your life or the OP's life? There are many situations in life where lease works better for the person. It is very situation dependent.

Of course the OP ALREADY has a lease.... ;)

If you want to make the dealer and the salesperson happy do it!

There is nearly always a large sum of money needed at the start of a lease. If that is not factored in you will certainly be paying a ton more for that new vehicle. With a dealer talking payments I bet it is a separate sum of money
