Yea I have wrecked alot on my dirt bike, but the worst wreck I have gotten in was on an ATV. I stay away from those.

The issue with ATVs is that people buy them that dont know anything about riding, then they take them to glamis, dumont or pismo and kill themselves. I steer clear of ATV riders on the trails unless I know them personally.

Hey man I have an atv....
But then again I agree 100%. I think they're actually harder to ride. Wish I kept my cr instead but with our regular riding group it's easier to have someone new ride a trx450 than a built Cr250.

Sorry I should rephrase. I dont mean all ATV riders are dangerous, but many that ride them haven't put the time in required to learn how to actually ride. On a dirt bike you have to learn alot about the bike, clutch friction zones, balance, situational awareness etc. This doesn't come over night. It takes years.

Anyone can go buy an ATV, hope on, and go without learning any of these things.

Case and point, my ex wife begged me to get her an ATV. I told her no, no, no for all of these reasons. Finally one trip she hopped on a friends polaris and started riding. She decided she was going to go over a small burm/bump and ended up going over the bars and the ATV literally ran her over.

She wasnt hurt just bruised and embarrassed. She literally had tire tracks going over her torso. Haha, everyone laughed it off. But she was done with ATVs. I got her a little TTR125, taught her the basics and she loved it.

Thats what I mean, when you crash a dirtbike you fall off, when you crash a quad it will find you and run you over, lol. I used to have a quad as a kid that that thing tried to kill me a lot more than my dirtbike has.

Part of me doesn't want all 50 of the people listed to come... The other part of me wants a 50+ tacoma strong convoy hauling ass and taking over Ocotillo :bananadance:

If we have 50+ tacomas (even if we have 30+) we're going to need to break it up into groups of ~10 so we can stay organized and no one gets lost
