My interest level could not be any lower for the WC final. Canada will cruise so easy, I'm sure. I thought maybe Sweden could've given them a run. Kudos to Europe, however. But ya, at this point, I'm just ready for NHL to start.

Ya I agree. Olympics is always amazing. And I think the players care a lot more about that than the WC, but just my opinion. Hopefully even if the NHL wants to prohibit the players from going, they will go anyways, like Ovi said.

 

I watched SportsCenter last night and the highlights from the SWE-EUR game came about 20 minutes into the show, buried behind tributes to the death of 3 athletes, some MBL games and a hand full of NFL games.

Toronto or Edmonton seem like good places for Trouba to end up if his excuses for his trade demands aren't bullshit.
He doesn't have the confidence he'll ever be able to pass Byfuglien or Myers on the depth chart and is complaining about only getting 22:30 minutes of ice time per game?
Guess that removes teams like Chicago and St Louis from his preferred destinations, he'll need to go to a team paper thin on defense.

 

Leafs did just sign Zaitsev who may pass Trouba on a depth chart. But they do have Gardiner and a bunch of good prospects. That likely what the Jets want , a young LD and prospects. Either that's or they can have JVR
