What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

What is the purpose of the stub that bolts into this location. I've looked at it, but not too hard, and don't see anything else connected to it. It's got to be there for some reason though, right?

 

there was a factory piece that was thers but with aftermarket bumper you remove it

I took mine out and don't have a plate bumper.

 

Been thinking about doing this one, can the map lights still work with the dome lights off though?

I think somehow it's supposed to keep larger size debris on the road and stuff from destroying suspension components. Somehow that's what I came up wth in my mind lol.

Anyways, I took mine off and want to mount some slim lights there.

 

Pods would mount into the hole on that thing

 

Replaced my map and dome lights with LED's...
About to order a Key fob since my truck didn't come with one when I bought it.

 

Both my upstairs and downstairs AC units run from sun up to sun down here in Florida for more than half the year.
