Only thing I have replaced in the Camry is the starter and alternator.

11 spd will require an XD driver on your hub due to the reduced size of the smallest cog. 8, 9, and 10 should be just fine. The most budget friendly 11 speed set up out there is the SRAM NX, which will be just fine. And now with the new SRAM Eagle hitting the bike shops, I expect prices on the 1x11 set ups to go down a little. More than likely you will have to change your chain guide as well, plus new chain, chain ring, cassette, deraileur and shifter.

 

side note, OneUp components has a 10 speed "hack" that allows you to run up to I believe a 46 tooth cog on your cassette. Takes some modifications to your derailleur cage, but personally, I think 1x11 is the only way to go.

 

definitely a good price. I was looking at the new Eagle group for my enduro bike and it was $1,500 which is considered a "deal"


edit, if you go with SRAM, I have an XO1 chankset with a few chainrings that you can have for free .99

 

I've always been more of a fan of SRAM drivetrains over shimano. Perhaps personal preference, but I have had great luck with their stuff. I am currently running SRAM XX1 11 speed on my enduro bike and XO1 DH 7 speed on my downhill bike... my trail bike cassette is 10-42 with a 34 tooth chain ring

yes. Sram uses a 10 tooth cog vs. 11 tooth on shimano. that one tooth is what causes the need for the xd driver

Oh guru of biking @JerryTaco whats your opionion on ghost bikes? Rei started selling them maybe 6-10months ago, German based company seem like pretty legit builds.

 

Don't actually know a whole lot about that brand. The good thing is that REI backs everything they sell, so if there is an issue, they'll take care of you. My enduro bike is from a german manufacturer and it is an absolutely fantastic bike.

Well they've had some of there I'm guessing 2015 or 2016 models on clr if I remember right something like $1400-1500 to $1000-1100, full suspension fox front and rear, and xt components, didn't fully look every inch over as I wasn't in there to buy but with a 20% off coupon if it's still around it may be a good deal.
