The hammer tapping the socket in is a great idea. I've done that in the past on bolt heads and nuts with really good results. Also making sure there is no dirt or rust or other thing keeping the bit from seating all the way into the plug. Also a lot of Allen head sockets have a tapered end, making it difficult to ensure it stays seated in the plug. The plugs are shallow enough as it is. Your pry bar suggestion is great at also making sure it stays seated while applying the torque for removal. Solid advice man

Is the all pro standard leaf pack good for mid travel? If I didn't want the full 3 inches of lift that they provide what would be the best way to bring it down? Sorry for all the suspension questions, that's gonna be the next big project so I'm working on learning as much as possible.

What are your guys' opinions on super bumps on first gens? Not sure if I'm benefitting from them, i think I'm losing all my up travel if anything lol. Anybody have any luck cutting them?

They have some issues, but I will say you are not loosing uptravel due to how soft they are and the leverage ratio at that point. Mine compress all the way down until I hit the other bump.

@Blackdawg is in the process of trimming them to hopefully hit straighter on his double cab.

I love mine. Im also not running any bump stops in the rear portion of the lca.... I did run them for a few days with no bumpstops at all (only street driven).

Lucky for me. I'm not a moron ha

I've cut mine and made an angled spacer for them. Just put them on though so no real feed back yet. Photos soon in my double cab build.

haha mostly joking ... although I did just do the swap recently with the help of a good friend where we each started on one side with the wrong side calipers...
we had a good laugh about that possibility after we noticed they were the wrong side and lined up correctly minus the line...
luckly neither of us was a moron either and we noticed this before we bolted anything up:bananadead:

The larger the bore, LESS PRESSURE is produced, not more.

I got sucked into this mis-conception years ago when I had to replace a bad MC. I got one with a larger bore and put it on. That first test drive was really scary. It felt like the booster had completely failed. I went to Napa and got a new MC with stock specs, and got my brakes back.

Thats what you need to do.

    this ^^^...
I did notice my pedal travel got longer with a fairly long uptake at the start of the push...
essentially it works by force production for a given force input. a longer stroke with a smaller bore produces more line pressure than a short stroke with a large bore. it just requires a longer stroke for the the smaller bore to move the same amount of fluid at the same pressure as the larger bore for which it takes a lot more force than it does motion to move the same amount of fluid under the same pressure.
being that people are meant for motion and not outright force it works out quite in favor of the smaller bore long stroke...

I'm gonna keep them. They are too cheap to sell. You can get them for 8$ shipped from camelback Toyota for all 8

Cool. I will swap in the stock 1" bore for the dual diaphragm. If I don't like it I'll go back to the 15/16" and single diaphram.

Quick question. What would cause the blinkers to hyperblink? My driver side has been doing it since I installed my relentless bumper and now my passenger side is doing it after wheeling this weekend.

We used to call them bionics. Usually an indicator that a bulb is out or bad wiring.
