it's justin's he mae it himself but can't use it with his softtopper and he has a swingout on his bumper anyway. i'm just borrowing it to see if i like it and if i do i'll make 1 or i may decide to get a softtopper myself. but i like it so far it secures my tire and gets it up out of the bed

Hello to all the floks here.

Chris, good to hear your shoulder is holding up and you might get back to 10s sometime soon.

George, hope your leg heals quickly

Tim, nice introduction and Teardrop. I settled with a MyPod, fiberglass enclosed trailer. Works great. Welcome to a fun thread. Hope your MIL is doing well.

Mike, your Chevelle sucks, just like Chuck's Camaro. If either of you want to give them to me so I can relieve you of your burden feel free.

Regarding all the comments about being old, my favorite philosopher, Jimmy Buffett, has more than a few good lines. Among my favorites from Growing Older but not up, "My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck. So let the winds of change blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead."

Spent the last week in Vegas, wish I had taken my truck with me. Was out there for a convention then spent two days poking around sightseeing. took a little trip down old Rt 66, went to the Hoover dam, drove down to the Colorado river near Peach Springs, saw Elvis several times and visited the Pawn Stars location. Looked like lots of good places to go with a truck within several hours away.

Hope everyone has a good evening

    B

ST-Maxx's did extremely well. I was aired down to 15 PSI. Hugged rocks like glue. No issue with mud and deep water. At end of the day, I inspected all four for sidewall damage and there was zero.

Hey Chris, how's work going? Is the shoulder OK?

Bishop is a great little city up against the sierras, near Mammoth ski resort. Lots of good off roading in the area. I go up that way alot. Like Chuck said, about 5 hours away on the other side of the sierras from Bakersfield.

ah andy work is work. it's not a good situation for me and they know it. the boss even told me today he was suprised i came back and didn't use the shoulder to get out. i told him that i didn't feel it would have been the honest thing to do. it may be the hard way but i'll eventually find something good again. thanks for the uplifting words about bishop. she seems really happy and it feels to her like it is what she was meant to do. shoulder is holding up so far but they are starting to load me up. so many people have stopped by to tell me they're glad to see me back because now some work will get done. oh well it is what it is and i'll do what i can i'm already back to giving them about an hour a day. my stupidity

Bishop has a small town "feel" and is a very pretty place. Always stopped at Bishop on my way from San Diego to the mountains or some skiing/snowboarding.

i guess they sent her to the really pretty place first before they send her to bakersfield which i hear is not very pretty. she says the bakersfield district is huge about a 3 hr drive to get across it so she'll be serving several places within that area

Bakersfield is hot as hell in the summer. That's all I remember in my childhood when we made our annual trek from San Diego to Bakersfield to visit family.

Just don't hurt the shoulder and if I were you I would look at something less strenuous. Plus no more 150 mile round trip commute
