BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Unless you really must do this......... enjoy your truck Edit Your truck is lighter and faster, too. Wait and put a supercharger on that bitch. You COULD have one of the nicest trucks. Keep the truck. You've got other things to spend a lot of money on and we're here to help you do just that! Good luck!

Money is just paper. none of this shit is going with you when you die. As many here have said you will think about the 4x4 and be pissed, it wont go away. Trying to talk yourself into it isn't going to work either, your smarter than that. Ok so you had some douchebag salesman hook you in, it's called a life lesson many of us have made mistakes and its a learning lesson. I bought KMC rockstar rims , they rubbed and i hated the look they sat flush with no deep dish look. I just spent another grand to oust them and even though Im out 1200 with another aligmnet and new wheels plus the cost to mount and balance I am much happier. Don't worry be happy.

Sorry that you're in this predicament man. Just ask yourself if you will ever reasonably use 4x4? I had my last truck for over 4 years and never touched 4x4. Drove in the mountains and snow all the time. I choose my trucks based upon my realistic needs. Good luck on whatever path you take brother.

When I purchased my truck I went through the same thing and ended up going 4x2 for a lower price point, better gas mileage, and less overall maintenance. I figured if I ever found myself in a situation where a thought bubble pops up and it says "Damn, I wish I had a 4x4" I would consider trading into one. I went on 2 snowboarding trips earlier this year. Booted up with some KO'2s and had no issue going up or coming down that mountain (also have chains they are required sometimes). Nothing wrong with your purchase, although there is no 4x4 you get all the premium goodies and comfort that you will use on a far more regular basis. Enjoy your truck and congrats!

Hey everyone, this is probably the nicest forum I've ever seen. Thx so much. Hearing all of these stories of buyer's remorse is actually helping... other mistakes. Is that lame that anothers pain makes me feel better?

Can we just turn this into a thread about buyer's remorse and lessons learned? Who else has such stories?

YOU gotta be happy, man. Whether its with your decision, or with a 4x4. Only you know what'll make you happy in the long run. Either you suck up the hit and trade in the truck, or just make the best out of the situation and deal with it. But only you can appreciate your driver

I personally think you should drive it for a while but I understand your pain. I made the mistake once of buying a Chevy double cab full size with the Vortec V6. It was underpowered. I liked the backseat but I didn't use it much. So I sold it and got the standard cab shortbed with the V8. Now that was a fun truck.

I learned to never cut corners and make sure to get what you really WANT. It's your money and life is short. Money can buy happiness.

It's been a year and I still have buyers remorse. Now waiting to see when my crankshaft position sensor will fail and strand me somewhere

I let my wife tell me how often are you really gonna uses 4WD and look at all the room you have in the Tundra and you own a 4wheeler and it was a good deal buying it for the room. And it was a big beuatiful truck that rode perfect ... Price was a good deal but not as good as 05 that was the last SR5 they had in 4WD. Plus that 05 was pretty rough on the my back at that time really not enough rooms for small kid and another on the way. Regretted it everyday afterwards but made the best of it and did enjoy room when I would sleep in the crewmax instead of pitching a tent and had friends with 4WD so they could pull me out. But when plans began we are moving to Atlanta where I know very few - then it was time to get not just a 4WD but something smaller for traffic. The best deal came from the last 2016 OR DB they had on the lot. We done this 5 other times before with other Toyota purchase for me and my try to fine the old car as the new ones are coming in.Luckily this time I got an amazing truck and gave me everything I wanted for a good price. So maybe make it work and look to see what's next ....You might be surprised what that truck will do. Or see if you can find a 2016 TRD OR and what deal could you get on it somewhere that may require travel.

I'm really not that impressionable. I fell in love with the interior/features of the TRDOR. The SR5 4x4's interior looks kinda blah to me.

And in SoCal I spend a lot of time in traffic on pavement.

I'm gonna let it go and enjoy my truck. Guess I'll see how this winter goes :) Thx folks.

I almost had buyers remorse when I picked up my truck i always wanted the quicksand OR 4x4 but kept seeing them in 4x2 (which is still good mind you) then finally I found one 4x4 just like I wanted but was a in a 6spd I said screw it and I bought it mind you I live in Cali so traffic sucks! But you know what this clutch is very very easy and I just fell in love with the truck and honestly it's a blast to drive! Just thought I'd share

Maybe if more people were driving a stick they wouldn't play on the phone so much. I'm not sure I miss a stick driving heavy traffic but do use the manual with option to shift a lot. First driving lesson by mom - park on hill and crank to drive without rolling to far back or popping the clutch. Then once I got that down I was good to go.

I almost always have some remorse anytime I get a new auto loan. But, I am happy that I got the truck I really wanted. I believe that is the key to the feelings of remorse fading.

i brought three 4x2 pickups prior to my Sport 4x4. The reason was cost and I figured I would never off road. Well one day we got about an inch of snow and my 4x2 could not even make it out of my driveway. That was the moment I said never again for 4x2. Six months later I brought my first Toyota Tacoma sport 4x4 and that was the best truck I have every had. We can get pretty snow sums throughout the winter here.but my 4x4 has never let me down. Here is my feeling. It is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it
