    All going to Washington now.

And we'll once again hear about how Washington is a "viable threat" to the blue bloods of college football.

I agree with this 100%. As a matter of fact, you can look back in the last few pages and see that I mentioned Alabama's loss to Louisiana-Monroe in Saban's first couple years.

Saban had to change the culture first. If you listen to what Kirby says to the media, it is mostly culture change speak. He is trying to change the paradigm and mindset of the players. He has to create a snowball of winning. Not just an opportunity, a snowball.

Once Saban set the precedent at Alabama, recruiting had to happen. Recruiting to that mindset and paradigm had to be at least 90%. The other 10% could either choose to get on the bus, or get off the bus at a later time. Once that happened, you can see the results. Kirby deserves at LEAST 3 years. In reality, more like 5 years, as he is recruiting against Saban, Jimbo, Dabo, Butch, Gus, and whoever takes over LSU. That's a tall task. Not even mentioning Harbaugh and Meyer....

Georgia fans need to be excited for the future. Not this season. Excited for recruiting wins, not game wins (right now). Need to be excited for transfers both in AND out of the program. This signifies culture change and buy in to the HC.

When Saban came to Alabama, I had a conversation with my dad, and I told him, write of the next 3 to 5 years. Once Alabama gets to the SEC Champ game though, expect at minimum 2 Natty's within the next 3 years. This is exactly what happened.

Georgia fans need to understand that Kirby Smart is as close as you're gonna get to a Saban carbon copy.

I feel like programs on the turn around need games like that. Don't you? Just from a motivational, goal and humbling standpoint. Its an obvious marker for "where they are" in the process of getting better.

Agreed, that in college, you gotta give a new coach some time.

Not fair to judge them on the previous coaches recruiting work. Sadly this often means a few years of non-contention.

People on TD are all over the place regarding who will be LSU's next coach. Thoughts, ideas, predictions, opinions?

UTenn has had some pretty stellar recruiting classes. Not sure if the supporting cast of coaches is causing the let down, or maybe coordinators? With as many top 5 recruiting classes as UTenn has had, you'd think the turn around would have happened much sooner.

Well we brought in Shoop this year as DC, and he is phenomenal. But Butch hired old Debord from Michigan as our OC and he is garbage. A solid hire at OC for us would really cement the future of the program. Butch isn't actually a good coach, he's a great marketer for recruiting. And that's alright, it just means you need to surround yourself with a great coaching staff to complete the team. So far he's taken the right steps, but we still aren't quite there yet.

Well it depends on how the team reacts to the loss because I think it can go either way.
