Wow my first time reading about a possibility of the CPS going bad and so early. Its a bit irritating

I just bought a CPS for my jeep since its got 70K miles now and it was only $25. Swapped it out and kept old one as a spare.

Is this CPS an issue with all transmission types or just autos? I have a manual, so should this concern me? I don't know when my taco was built, but I bought it in May this year.

There is a sticker on the driver's side door jam that shows the build date. My failed one was built in 11/15. My new truck was built on 3/16 - no problems on the new one... Yet.

Sorry about the run around man.....your dealer sucks! Why did you have it towed to the dealer you purchased it from instead of the nearest one? Any dealer would have given you a loaner until they figured out what was going on with yours. Towing to the nearest dealer would have been completely free as well.
