Does anyone know which rack l would need for a truck shell on a 2016 tacoma dclb.
I ordered a ARB truck cap with thule tracks and want the rack to cover the entire top.

 

which mounts did you use to mount it on your rack?

 

i don't know but i'm curious to see responses. i want to do the same setup eventually.

did you use selt tapping screws into the roof rack or did you drill thru and use a bolt and nut?

Also, for mounting MAXTRAX, i presume front runner sells a bracket of some sort?

What If I want to mount some pelican boxes up there, do I need accessories, or you think it would be doable w out a bracket of some sort? (say drilling thru a cross bar, use bolt and nuts)

 

I tried to order cab rack for 2016 dc lb being it is out of stock the web site will not allow orders to be placed. Any suggestions?

Ok, so your lucky, I have mounted almost everything you are talking about. mounting anything on a frontrunner, you will have to go buy Grade 8 bolts and nuts (or anything you like to hold things down). They have a lot of accessories that come with supplied nuts and bolts, with extra that I use sometimes too.

Light Bar - I orginially had it on the front lip of the rack itself. there on slots you slide bolts into in order to mount stuff. I then when to what I have now, I drilled thru the first cross bracket of the rack and inserted a bolt through the bottom to a nut on top. Then I had a few caps left over from of accessories I have from them and caped the nuts. I had to purchase the right size and length of nut and bolt.
MAXTRAX - Front Runner does not sell a bracket for MAXTRAX, but if the bolts that come with MAXTRAX slide into the slots that are on the cross bars then use those. I have front runner's sand lizard rescue traxs on my rack, then will be placing MAXTRAXs or something on top of those.
Pelican Boxes - Go buy a few bolts that will slide into the tracks on the cross bars. Drill holes in the pelican cases and slide the case over the bolts that are sticking up from the rack. then simply screw on the bolts to hold it down.

That help. I'm plan on doing a write up on mounting light bars or things to the racks, once I get a minute to set down and do it.
