First truck was a lightning, loved it but I'll never make a full-size into an offroad rig, definitely not an expo rig

Uncles F350 that still looked new (maintained to the T) was on its 3rd engine prior to 90k... and Ford was not going to fix it. Now he has a Dodge. Friend is on his 4th new Ford Escape due to engine/drivetrain problems... then he bought an F150. Some people learn the hard way. And I was anti Ford truck prior to either of those.

Both the Chevys I owned were the most reliable, and my silverado only depreciated $1k over 4 years I owned it. Bought from a dealer, sold private party.

Buddy of mine in high school had a Ford F250 with a 460 and a 4 speed in it.
It was missing 2nd gear. You had to wrap that sucker out in granny low and go for 3rd. It was freaking awesome.

How can it only depreciate 1k in 4yrs? That is unheard of- did you just not drive it to add miles?

depends on the year. the new trucks are crap. i like the old chevy vehicles. im not one of those hardcore fanboys thats either chevy or ford, i just know from having a car audio shop how the chevy vehicles are put together. i like some of their motors, but build quality just doesnt cut it for me. same with ford. i only bought the raptor because i have rolled and totaled 8 other vehicles. offroad truck with factory warranty was a no brainer for me.
