Why do you use higher than 87 octane? Were you getting engine knock?

Always run 87 in your to Tacoma running anything higher than 87 is a waste of money. Anyone that is doing so does not know much about how Gas Works. You actually lose a little horsepower when running a higher octane because it explodes sooner and doesn't give the full cylinder time to expand sensors in the engine May adjust to the higher octane but it will not add any horsepower. Save your money and buy yourself a good dinner

If you like the sound of exhaust aftermarket air intakes. That's fine. But it will only add about 10 horsepower and 10 horsepower is not worth the money that you spend to do so. If you really wanted a faster truck you should have bought one then Toyota Tacoma is a great trucks. But they are not built for Speed. They're built for toughness longevity and fun

Yes it is, Installed it last night. My tires will be here today so hopefully everything will be done today.

"Household goop". I have never used the stuff before but its what the grille placed recommended. Seems to hold good so far.

Thanks for the pictures! That doesn't look bad, I wasn't sure how high off the cab it would be and if it would look funny but it looks good. You can still use the stock bedrails and move the cleats around correct?

What tire set up are you doing?
Did you get new upper control arms?
I'm on the fence if I "need" new UCA's or not. As I don't wheel my truck. Worst it sees is dirt roads for hunting.

My tire and wheel will be 285/70/17 17x9 -12 offset

I did not purchase new UCA's, I have never had a problem with the stock ones, I probably just could have gotten away with a spacer lift but I plan on keeping it for awhile and wanted to get some goodies. Also you can always add UCA's later on if needed. I just do dirt roads and sand sometimes nothing too crazy.

No problem. Yes...you still have full use of all three (if you install the bed header rail) side rails. Only possible issue is on the side rails you have to move your bed cleats around the clamps holding on the tonneau cover side rails but that is not a issue for me. Nice thing about this cover is it rolls up nice and tight against the cab so you literally have full use of your bed...and I can still mount fork mount bike holders on my soon to be bought bed header rail.

Thanks! I found it for that price from realtruck.com when they were having a 10% off sale about two weeks ago. Right now I think it is about $290. That $260 was including lightning fast processing and shipping to my front door as well. They have been great to deal with so far.

Can you remove the rolled up cover/header just by sliding 2 latches over and lifting off the side rails like the TruXedo Lo Pro QT?

That kit definitely is better then a spacer lift. Had a spacer lift on my FJ with stock UCA's and never had any problems. Everyone makes such a big deal out of UCA's, makes it hard to decide to get some or not. Definitely look forward to seeing your end result. As I'm looking at the same kit. Definitely not a bad option for the price and seems to be of good quality components!
