Fabtech, ProComp 6" lift or more. Pictures

The problem with this is to get the 3" out of those icons you will have to crank it up which means you are preloading the spring more for a stiffer ride. Either get the longer coilovers designed for a 6" lift or get the rcd extended length bilsteins and add the ome 883's.

 

Anyone know of a manufacturer for custom springs? I have around 8-9' of lift with my rcd bilsteins and eibach coils plus about a 2' leveling spacer on top. I can tell my spring are prematurely wearing seeing they are preloaded. So before I buy custom King coilovers which will take me awhile for that purchase, I have been looking for some longer springs but can't seem to find any. I have read that the ome 886x will provide a tad more lift than my eibachs given they are 660# vs my eibachs are 620#. I honestly think kings are my only option and I can be done with the front end for good.

 

I thought If you replaced the 650 coils for 700 pound could you woul have less preload on them? I could be wrong... Where did you get your bilstein RCD coilovers? And if I get the RCD bilstein coilovers 883 coils will allow me to eliminate the top spacer?

 

You can do the ome coils or you can get the 1.6' over stock eibach coils and that will eliminate the spacer. I'm running the 2.5-3' eibach coils

 

So the ome 883s and the RCD bilstein swill eliminate the spacers and will still keep me at 6"

Yep I'm quite sure the 883s will do it for you. Everyone I know who used the rcd bilsteins used eibach coils. @BORNWILDGUY Can give you a definite answer tho

 

Thanks guys looks like I'll order those I like the nicer coilovers just don't think I do enough off-roading to justify the price tag on them

 

Yea that was my exact reason for buying them over coilovers. I spent around $500 for the shocks and springs give or take. Sure beats $1500-$2000. Plus I plan on trading my truck in or selling it sooner than later so I don't want to dump but so much into it.

 

Yeah I would love kings or icon lift coilovers just don't think I'll use them to half their potential... Maybe down the road though I've only had the truck about 7 month and already have du led a tone of money into it thanks to this site

 

What eibach coil did they use i have a arb bumper and a winch up front should I go with the eibach coil or ome coil?

 

You can do the 1.6 inch over stock eibachs or you could do what I have which are around 2 inches over stock with a spring rate of 620lbs. Since you have a aftermarket bumper and rubbing isn't a issue I would just do the 1.6 inch lift coils. Will net you 6 inches with the rcd shicks and give you some wiggle room if they settle some. You can get them from bilsteinlifts.com that's where I got mine from.

 

Do you know the part number for the 620lb coils I might have those on my stock length ones now... Would those swap over to the RCD bilsteins?

 

Yea you can use your stock coils on the rcds. Don't have part number right now let me check

The rcd Shock will eliminate the spacer. The shock is a extended length version of the adjustable bilstein 5100. It will def work bro. So you can run stock coils and decide if you want to swap them out later. It's literally a bunch of options for our trucks when going the cheaper route and not buying coilovers lol

 

If you've already got a Fabtech lift you can do what I did. I got the Dirt Logic coil overs that are purpose built just for the Fabtech lift.
