Installed TRD wheels and BFG KO2's, removed the air dam and got her washed. I only put 70 miles on her so far but I love her.image.jpg image.jpg

Was that a custom kit? Didn't find one for the 2016 on the site.

I used to put 91 Octane Shell gas the first several fill-ups, and then I realized it's just throwing away money.
I now only put 87 Octane Shell gas for every fill-up.

On a side note, does anybody know if there's any harmful effects of mixing 91 Octane gasoline with 87 Octane? I have the option of getting a free can (3 gal) of recently filled 91 Octane gasoline from a prepper friend of mine who's going out of town for a few days this weekend. Not sure if I should put it into my tank yet.

So got lift and tires yesterday. Today decided to remove the air dam. Have some lights on the way and what would you buy if you had an extra 330$ Lying around?

Another way of thinking about it is do not use 93 or 89 in a snow blower in the cold northern climates . It is much harder to get the engines to start because the gas is harder to ignite. 87 octane will ignite more easily than the higher octanes will . Higher compression / performance old school engines NEED a fuel that does not ignite early or it will ping / pre ignite and cause bad things to happen .

Just got back with my 2017 TRD Sport after a 350 mile journey. I have 650 miles on it. I'm now noticing the hunt for gears with cruise on going up and down the highway hills. I'm also noticing the "lag" between reverse and drive when cold. Have a call in to the service dept. which is an hour away. Gonna talk with service manager to see how informed he is with the TSB. Hopefully there won't be any problems even though the tsb is for the 16's. might as well talk with him about low transmission fluid too. Didn't have any of these problems with my '16 SR5.

How long has the gas been sitting around? Has a tendency to separate if it sits too long. Other than that there in no harm at all in mixing different octanes

89 is a mix of 87 and 93 You can mix all you want, no harm at all.

3 gallons shouldn't effect the plugs any. Maybe a little fouling, but even if that it'll be so minor you won't notice it
