A few guys from pirate and ttora have done leafs up front. Problem is keeping it low, and not sky high.

I finished installing the Bird Dawg Tech Deck and after it was done I realized I have no power to that little panel that has the hazard light switch, clock, alarm light, and the indicator for passenger airbag. Airbag is stuck in off. LOL fuck. I have to take it all apart again and look for a wire harness not fastened correctly. I think that plug is one of many going into the stereo.

In the end though I'll have a phone mounted dedicated to running Torque app and I'll also have a 8 inch tablet dedicated to GPS apps.

I installed mine now all the lighting for my climate controls are intermittent. I said fuck it because I JB welded it on.

What tablet are you using? Do you have a antenna hooked up?

Did you get the extreme duty version where you drill holes into the lip of the stereo? lol that was fun, and luckily all the holes lined up in the end.

I have a Galaxy Tab E no antenna for it yet. I'll see how it works first. That tablet was almost free through T-Mobile. You pay $25/month for the equipment but they credit you $25/month so all I paid was tax.

So does the external antenna help with the GPS signal?

Yeah I got the extreme duty version. I can believe all mine lined up. I went a little overkill with the JB Weld but I'm sure it won't fly out for any reason. You have an automatic right? My options are fairly limited because I can't run anything down below due to the shifter.

The antenna is plugged into the bottom of a tablet or phone and supposedly help boost the GPS signal. Whether they work or not I'm not sure I don't have any experience with them

Let me know how the tablet works out for you because that's a good deal, already do all my mobile stuff through T-Mobile

I just read about GPS antennas that are Blue Tooth connected so you can put antenna on the roof or something.

I'm going to order one of those. I'm running my 8in tab 2 s on a ram mount suction cup from the windshield and it takes up visibility

that is exactly why I'm installing the Tech Deck and also why I already did his mirror riser. Plus I don't want to run down the battery on my main phone when I'm using GPS for trails. Your ram mount will work minus the suction cup of course. Just need the base with 1" ball.

I work in Edmonds... Normally, I would be able to make it, but since Friday is the 30th, month's end, I'll be working from open to close that day (16 hrs)... Need some rest, preferably without the influence of alcohol. I'm in charge of claims (warranty work, and all) and can't miss getting money back for the company...

Let's plan another for a Friday/Saturday next month! That way, we can make it too, and it'll give others time to plan ahead...

Bored as shit, these babies are cooler than all hell but he's not much of a talker. Most entertainment I get out of him is when he farts and makes funny faces

I'm also trying figure out what route I want to go with the truck, I want solid axles, but I wouldn't do the swap till the truck is paid off and it'd be a designated trail rig after that. Long travel is appealing due to the fact I can have it installed in a day and still have a DD.

Do you want to drive fast or be able to crawl over anything in sight?

    Haa!

Well I will say mid travel front and at least sua in the rear should be fast as hell. My current mid travel front does great in the PNW at 50 to 60mph. It's the rear that limits me. Next on my list is the total chaos rear sua kit with shock relocation.

I don't have personal experience with a solid front... Just hear it can be a rough ride.

Ya I've SAS'd a few Toyota pickups and the ride does diminish, that's why I'm leaning towards LT. I'll still want to road trip and drive it
