update on the calibrator. i live in denver colorado and i took the chip to a tuner in denver called the carburetor shop aka mile high performance. I've done all my mods myself and i wanted a professional to tune my chip. i dropped my truck off friday and i still havent got my truck back. these fuckin guys dont know what the fuck they are doing so everyone in the denver region should stay away. the tuner had to call gadget because he didnt know how to tune the chip!!! so basically im paying a fuckin retard to tune my truck. hopefully gadget walked him threw the process so i know that it will be done right. im crossing my fingers for my truck. send prayers :( ill let u guys know by tonight how the truck feels. hope everyone is having fun at work!

so i got the truck back. i wouldnt recommend the chip for the 4 banger. there wasnt enough hidden power in the truck to unlock. the only benefit i gained was my torque increased through the mid rpms. total loss of money :(

Thank you sir very much for wasting the money for me. I talked to urd numerous times about this for the 4 banger and they kept saying its a proven product (regarding the v6, never anything about the i-4) can you post some dynos regarding the power and air fuel ratio just for lookings sake please? If you don't wanna post or whatever send me a pm or something, I'm really kind of interested in the results.

sorry to hear that, looking at your build, I see that you are running 18" Rockstars with 33's....I almost bought a set of those until i saw how much they weigh (42lbs.) now with 33's, you are dragging about 400+ lbs. with the 4 cyl. Maybe you should look at regearing as an option. Some members are going to 4.56 gears in order to run 33's or 4.88 to run 35's..........something to think about....btw, the wheels that I have weigh 22lbs.

    Looking!
I appreciate you trying and then posting the results for us. Was wondering about that myself. I have known three "speed shop" proprietors around my area that were full of enthusiasm, but not much else, especially knowledge.

hmmm, so how do you even trust that these guys correctly, and more importantly, safely tuned it? definitely post your AFR graph (hopefully they gave you one). you don't want that extra few ft lbs of torque at the cost of running lean.

WOW! This thread is contradictory to everything I've read about the URD MAF so far! I live in Boulder (Denver) Colorado and I've been wondering if the URD MAF is any good at mile high elevation. I've called a few "performance" shops around Denver and none of them know about the URD MAF. Kinda frustrating considering I ordered the unit 2 hours ago. Anybody got a recommendation for a Colorado tuning shop? or high elevation URD MAF experience?

read the manual from gadget, take your time and go from there. You will need a wideband and a buddy (preferably someone who knows computers) If you mess up, go back to stock and start again. If it comes preloaded with a mod map, save that on a disk or the hard drive. I read the manual 3 times before I tried tuning it. I have a friend who loves to tune cars and he laughed when I first got the cal. but started to realize that it can make a difference in open loop. I know that it can be tuned for high altitude. Go for it!!!:)
