High compression engines are meant to run on high octane because the compression stroke in the engine actually heats up the air fuel mixture on its own. If a low octane fuel is used in such an engine this could ignite the mixture before the spark plug even goes off. A.K.A pre-ignition. That is why a higher octane fuel is used, to delay the ignition of the air fuel mixture until it is set off purposefully. Our engines really will run any octane you can get regularly just fine, but I prefer 87-89.

I'd save it towards a Prinsu roof rack. Or the TRD Pro skid plate. ...but that's just my wish list.

    What tires are those?

Wheels came in so I went and got these new shoes to go with it. Just in time for the wheeling trip over the weekend. Thanks @JdMeF9SiR2 again for getting these fxpro wheels so quickly!

And then of course, had to go out and test them. A good fun day with the taco crew. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

It may be due to the TRD Pro wheels which are narrower than stock and have a different off-set.

    First post here.

I just installed the lund genesis elite tonneau. I followed the directions, but it did not fit (or at least how I would like). I had to remove the weather stripping at the cab side and near the tailgate. I could not close the tailgate with the stripping installed. So we will see how waterproof it is over the next few weeks. I'm on the fence as to whether I like it or not.. may end up getting something different in the future.
