I've never seen a forum get so giddy over TSB's.

If people actually saw the list of TSB's on most vehicles. Most cars have 100+ TSB's for various concerns. It's not like it's a recall that affects every car

I'm guessing it's because they want their expensive trucks to function properly.

Expensive enough to expect more QA than we've seen so far.

About to pull the trigger on a 2017 and I'm wondering if both the fluid level and transmission shift issues are present on the 2017 or if they've been addressed before they leave the plant. Anybody know?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You're best bet is to ask the Service Manager. Insist on having it performed and documented.

So why do you have to troll all the threads about guys that do have problems? Do you want everyone else to give you a pat on the back because your truck is perfect?

Still waiting for a TSB number or word from Toyota to ck my ATF level that it maybe low.
I've had a great ride so far, over 11k miles transmission works great after learn was initiated and complete, love the truck.
My only concern is the CSP sensor crapping out on me :/
Other than that, no diff howling, noises or vibration or squeaks of any kind.

    Cheers.

Just bought mine like 2 months ago and just recently felt the transmission making abrupt shifts, especially when slowing down to a stop. This is good to know. I will definitely have this taken care of when it goes in for its 5k oil change in a few weeks.

Sub'd. Planned on having the shifting TSB done when I take my vehicle in for its first ToyotaCare service. It would be awesome if somebody could come up with the TSB for the ATF level so I can have them do that one too.

plan on waiting a while for them to check your ATF. i had to leave mine overnight. the ATF has to be in a specific temp range, so if you drive it to the dealer, they have to wait for it to fully cool off before they can check the level.

Thanks for the heads up. I plan on setting an appointment for whenever they open, so hopefully they can get it done before the end of the day.

Had my truck in for service, told service manager about this new TSB, they looked with me and could find no record of a TSB for checking the transmission fluid level. Of course I didn't know how to search their system for it so I just looked on as they did the search. Will be interesting to see if anyone else comes up with a new TSB for this.
