    I don't have a good glamor shot of my white truck to post up with this, but I just verified with an industry contact that our Super White is NOT SINGLE STAGE so we can crush the bullshit rumors and internet urban legend. :D:crapstorm:

    It sounded like bullshit to me when I first heard it, but I have confirmation now. Single stage would actually be illegal, federal mandates for VOC's now basically mean every auto manufacturer is using a water based base coat & clear coat over top.

    Anyways, good to know.:thumbsup:

    Black has the clear coat mixed in the paint. So Toyota person on the phone told me.

    I'm a fan of KO2's myself but according to the dealer all 4 of my tires are out of round. They could not even road force balance them. I have to go to a different shop on Monday to probably have them all replaced.

    040 super white still is, and always has been a single stage application from the factory.
    It is the the only color that currently is.
    I will see your industry contact, and raise you mine, from TMS.
    However, in the aftermarket segment, it is predominantly shot as a two stage, unless you are in a state that still has not adopted low-VOC requirements.
