hard to make it sound good typing. ah sue the place is just stupid. i was told yesterday we now have a horrible rep for our work quality. it all comes from 2 guys the one of us that does the shitty work and the boss for letting him continue. in the mean time i'll be hammered to improve already good quality and speed up. go figure

Don't let them hammer you....I know, easier said than done.... but try and take it easy on the shoulder. I know the ones that do a good job always get the worst end of the deal

Sounds like what I had happen to me while working as a diesel mechanic .I had workers under me that didn't know anything about being a mechanic. They screwed up more things than fix them , I constantly had to baby sit them

the problem is they actually cause me more work and when i have to take the time to watch them it takes away from my work time then i get fussed at for how long it's taking. the whole thing is just a stupid vicious circle of stupidity. i'm trying very hard not to let this crap bother me although it may not seem like it

 

I found out what was causing my driveability issue with my Tacoma . I guess an oem MAF sensor does wear out LOL !!! . I replaced mine today and what a difference in performance noticed . I've been experiencing sluggish acceleration , crappy fuel mileage and idle quality problems

I've tried cleaning the OEM MAF numerous times but that would only last a week or more at most . I'm happy on how its running now I might even replace the coil packs with aftermarket Accel items to get more spark to the plugs

I'm not used to working on newer electronic controlled vehicles so I'm a slow learner but looking to get as much hp as I can out of the 4 cyl if I can get near 300hp ill be happy

 

Good news.
I have room in the warehouse this year for my boat. So I don't have to do 2 more hours of winter prep.
So I can clean the inside the bilge area and paint the prop and wax the motor. I don't have to take the batteries out, trolling motor, rods etc. so I will Be able to hook the boat up and head right to the water next year. Yabba dabba dooooooo.....

Chris , I delt with the exact same thing and was constantly checking their work or going out on service calls for no start or shut offs becuase my mechanics F'd up constantly

To be honest sometimes you need to test with a known good one. Glad you found it....

 

I kept doing research about my driveability issue for quite some time and everything I read all came back to a faulty or worn out MAF

 

I have an "Open Slip" you could use Brac water included year round.... just a small 1600 mile trek and away you go....

Mike , are all Toyota model 4 cyl ECM/ Computers the same for a 2002 . trying to find Accel coil packs for my truck and nothing is listed . if I look at a Camry or Corolla 4 cyl the list them
