Ok, so i am baffled. I grew up baptist but i don't really believe any of it. I do believe our universe is too amazing and complex to be random, so i do believe in good and evil forces but i dont believe in ghosts or poltergeists or shit like that. i refuse to believe a persons soul can remain behind or be seen (although i do believe in the soul itself). having said that, this picture freaks me out. This picture was taken by a friends cousin, who i have hung out with and don't believe to be the type to pull a prank. his name is jason. he's a marine, he's tough as nails and and as far as i know, has never bought into ghost stuff either. but he took this picture last night and doesn't know what to believe now. He and his fiance just moved into a 100 year old house. he says its creepy just like any old house and creaks and moans but he never bought into spirit stuff. anyway, he took a picture of his fiance and noticed something in the background. at first i was like, yeah, that looks like a person in a suit. then we started adjusting the picture and now there is no doubt it is a person in a suit. here's the deal. i am not trying to convince anyone this shit is real. what i want, is for one of you skeptics to convince me that its fake. i refuse to believe this is a person's soul. i just refuse. but what is it? zoom in and look around the image, there is zero evidence of photo shopping. no disturbed pixels or anything. if it was photo shopped its a perfect job.

search the internet for the picture. obviously you wont find this exact picuture cause it was taken last night and it has not been posted somewhere else, but maybe you can find the image of the man so i can prove this was inserted somehow. i WANT to find out this is fake. please prove it to me. i know my reputation on this site but this is not a joke, i'm dead serious. cause if this is not fake then its pretty fucking crazy.

I did not get permission to post this, so i went ahead and painted over the girls face just to be on teh safe side. other than that, the first photo has not be doctored or touched at all and in case it matters, it was taken on an iphone

the second photo has had the brightness and contrast turned up, and the gamma turned down, other than that it has not been tampered with.

i understand looking at it it looks like its too complete and detailed to be fake. my gf works for an ad agency and all she does all day long is toy with images and photoshop stuff. she says she can find no evidence of it not being real.

I'm calling bullshits fakes, but that's just me. :p

Like you, I don't buy into any of that stuff. Even if there were ghosts or shit like that, I don't think it would be that clear and I don't think it would resemble a human.

Rarely when taking a picture of somebody do you cut off half of their head to get covered legs and a doorway to the kitchen(?). It looks like he took the pic to leave room in the shot for something just like this.

I believe in shit like that. I've had some very crazy, unexplainable stuff happen over the years. I can barely see an outline with the first pic, but the 2nd one looks kinda cartoony like fake if that makes sense. Either way, cool shit...

I'm with you, I don't buy into the ghosts and all that stuff. Is the "ghost" standing on the counter in the kitchen? Or is the girl just sitting on the floor?

Looks like she's sitting on a couch or something with her back on one of the armrests. Maybe even legs out leaning on a head board?

that is actually teh only thing about the pic i dont buy. if you look at the bitmap image or zoom in to look, there is zero pixel distortion, so either there is really an image there, or someone spent a day or two putting that into the picture. but i agree, why would you take a pic of your gf if she is not centered in the frame? we have all been discussing that.

fair enough, but why does it look photoshoppy? i agree, the second pic looks fake but take a look at how the image fits into the picture, its seamless. "looks photoshoppy" is not good enough

download the original, the first one, and play around with it. you can even get it to look like slimer off the ghostbusters if you mess with it enough. but that doesn't mean its photoshopped

girl is sitting on the sofa, then there is a doorway, then the "ghost" is standing in the other room, about a foot past the doorway

the first image is the original image. it was taken on an iphone, possibly zoomed which is why the image sucks so much.

listen guys, i dont think its real either but so far i dont have much evidence pointing to fake. i'd love to find out its faked, but "looks fake" is not helping
