Excellent. When you wrote about Invoice - $1000 you seemingly suggested otherwise.

In the Atlanta area, setting a dozen or so dealers against each other, best price on my truck config was essentially invoice + $500 before tax/tag/title. Actual structure was more like invoice minus $100 then add $600 dealer doc fee. The same deal could alternately be described as $3700 off MSRP before the $600 doc fee, then add TTL. So as you see anything based off invoice can be squirrely -- that's why we need the full info to be helpful.

As it ended up, for a variety of reasons I took a deal about $300 higher at the dealer four miles from my home rather than an hour's drive away.

At least here in this area I don't think there's another $1000 to be shaved off the deal without leveraging military or college grad programs. At least not unless they think they can squeeze you on your trade to make up for it. Too many dealers wouldn't even budge off MSRP, which in this pretty competitive market suggests they have plenty of people willing to pay more.

Thats the difference I'm seeing on the SouthEast Toyota build site as well for 4x4 DCSB vs 4x4 DCLB. They list a 6MT between the two lines that can confuse things.

I got quotes from a dealer in KC when I bought my 2013. I might have bought there but they did not have any Bajas with factory tow. I got lucky on mine and dealer found me on that had minimal port options like the $400 bottle of wax.

Thanks for your input. No trade, reg fee is $15, title fee $50 and doc fee $65 + cost of state inspection sticker. That and the Taxachuesetts sales tax of .0625%. LOL

So I'm thinking OTD around $36,500 is good. Darn sales tax is over $2,200

I'm pitting three dealerships, all about the same distance from my house, so it's going to be down to who can give me the best deal.

Truck isnt built yet, so,they're all look'n at the same ones. About three almost identical heading this way soon. Hope the dealer I bought my Tundra from comes thru for me. Repeat customer, third vehicle from them, should be worth a little extra.

Normagene, please keep us informed of your deal. I want almost the identical truck (down to the color!) cept I want the tow pkg and the premium and technology pkg. I am willing to leave the GST region to get it.

FYI I dealt with University Toyota in San Antonio on a super white 16 Taco, model 7560, and it listed for $38006 and they offered it for $35400 plus TTL. I almost did it but I got scared of the problems with the 16 and decided to wait for a 17, hoping they would fix the problems. It had the tow and premium and tech pkg on it plus other small dealer options on it. It was exactly what I wanted.

I also want an access cab because I have one and it serves my needs and fits in my garage and I can walk around it. Mine is a 2009 TRD Sport also. It has been awesome.

I may want to follow the three you say are coming in. I don't believe Toyota is building many TRD access cabs for some reason.

Could have gotten lower initial price by playing dealers against each other, but I was fond of my dealer and he hooked it up in other places. Seemed fair, and I'm happy.

One of the local dealerships has a Doc Fee of $95 and another has $400

How ridiculous is that......crazy. I guess the OTD number is the only one that really matters.

Right now the best number I have $37,200 OTD

TAXACHUESETTS REALLY NAILS YOU - - - for some reason that extra $2,300 hurts and pisses me off.

Well like my husband likes to say "Better to be Pissed Off than Pissed On". Hahaha.

That doesn't seem to help. Darn taxman

That state tax number is way way off, sticker price went up as well since I added the black cast aluminum running boards.

State tax on $38,083 is more like $2,380.19

Ouch Ouch Ouch that hurts, especially knowing how those numbskulls will foolishly WASTE OUR TAX DOLLARS. Well enough of that......

    Window Sticker: $38,083

    OTD: $36,683

Yahooooooooo! Now the wait...... Will be 4 to 6 weeks before it arrives. I guess I could always fly down to San Antonio and watch it going thru the build. LOL

LOL. I most certainly did and I've got some words of wisdom to along with it too!

Don't Crunch numbers with only a couple hours sleep.

Looked at that this afternoon and I was like Say What???

Good thing I added the running boards or I probably wouldn't have noticed I was way way off on my tax calculations. Darn that Taxman a real PITA. Hahaha

What is that, 6% tax? Lucky. Our sales tax rate in tn is 9.75 in my county. It varies depending on county, but most around me are at least 9%. At least we don't have an income tax.

9.75 here PLUS income tax. That is why we are tax dodgers and register everything in MT after buying it in OR

Ain't giving CA any more of my money.

    6.25% + an income tax.

Once you get the vehicle home, the town/city you live in, goes by wherever your vehicle is registered, you get another bill in the mail.

    EXCISE TAX

My town, $25 per $1,000 value of the vehicle. So first few years you get Whacked/Spanked pretty darn hard. They do depreciate them rather quickly, but those first few years......Ouch

So for this new vehicle my bill will be somewhere around $1,500.

It's called TAXACHUESETTS FOR A REASON

well when you do the math... your $2300 (at purchase) + $1500 (excise) = 3800... is roughly the same as just paying 9.75% up front (~$3,700)..

Sorry for the late reply. The finance department agreed to it, my guess is they assumed/had knowledge that the rebate program would roll into the 2017 models since the rebate has been around for so long on Tacomas.
