It was the actuator! Got her back tonight. Definitely feels better than stock! I do hear a little bit of a whine from the gears. Not too bad. He said that might dissappear with some miles. I know the speedo is off, I have to bring it back so he can redo the Hypertech calibrator. He had set it, but maybe it got off somehow. I hope he reconnected it!

What was wrong with the actuator?

He ohm tested both actuators when he brought the new one into the shop and the open that Toyota scan showed was actually in the actuator. He said there was no way that he could have damaged that. Is trying to get Toyota to pay for the new actuator under warranty. I don't know if that's true or not I hadn't tried 4 wheel drive since the guy put the lift on. So it's possible it could have just went bad in the last few months. I'm hoping he replugged in the Hypertech because I know the speedometer is off and my mileage is off. Will keep you updated. Don't really like the whining I hear but it isn't real noticeable.

Installed a TRD oil filler cap. I hate how that plastic one goes on either too tight or too loose.
Its really hefty hd (aluminum) and feels heavy in hand, I hope the filler neck can take the weight (j/k) $38 at TRDparts4u is steep but at least it does dress up the engine bay.
One issue, the TRD decal wouldn't stay on, the glue may have been too old or whatever, so I used some liquid nail I had on my tool box and it stuck, so I'm good to go.
...Now if I could just replace the plastic filler neck with aluminum hmm... :/

Had 5K service done this morning. Figured it would be a good time to also have them put in my own oil & filter (Amsoil Signature / TRD Pro Filter).... and since they where going to have to take off the factory skid plate, figured that would be a good time to change to the TRD Pro skid plate. No charge for install, since they took the old off, and put the new on... saves me time.

How many Toyota Techs does it take to put on a Pro skid plate???

Put on my new fog lens covers, I was nervous about trying the green but it would match my decal. And its a little different from the copious amounts of yellow i see on here. Anyways i think it turned out pretty good. Pictures do not do this justice... Then I went for a bike ride.

TRD skid plate, AFE intake and MagnaFlow cat back. Everything came together nicely. Gained some top end power and improved appearance. These mods make my 6 speed MT more fun to drive.20160930_130229.jpg 20160929_085505.jpg 20160930_105655.jpg
