    3M adhesive remover works really well for removing the adhesive overspray from the carpet. Brake Cleaner works pretty well too.

    Not sure about that!

    Pretty sweet sound. Marv is going to help me tune the LOC. Never new subs needed breaking in. Had my 16 yo son pick out some songs to help break it in. Plenty of bass for these old years coming from a 10" sub

    Looks bad ass. I was surprised how much my bass my pancake 10 has been capable of. Shit has come a long way in the 15 years since I last had a aftermarket system in a car.

    Basically, that this being a new sub is pretty "stiff" in the beginning. Try to to play a lot of music in a continuous time span if possible. Play sub at a moderate setting - don't try to overdo the sub in the beginning. @Mr Marv can give you more of the technical lingo than I can.

    I need to pull out the manual for my LOC and optimize it. Mr Marv offered to walk me thru it when I'm ready. What a guy!

    I was just curious because there are mixed methods on break in. I've always heard not to crank them during the break in and others say to play them loud to break them in.

    Yes. The sub got less "boomy" and the lows got tighter. More range from the mids. I've always struggled with highs, don't like a lot of them

    @Mr Marv here is a copy of the LC8i manual for Audio Control.

    I followed the instructions for level matching. Set volume to 3/4 ( 45); d/c RCA cables; adjusted level output on each until "maximized" light flickered - which did not happen until it was nearly maxed out; set the gain on my amp to min; turned volume down; replugged RCA cables; turned up vol slowly. Louder sooner but seems to have MORE hiss than before??!! That's basically the extent of the written instructions. If you have a better approach I ( and others I'm sure) would love to hear about it.
