that's actually a 380 gal fuel tank.

i was disappointed and impressed when i found that out.

 

I was actually wondering about that, it was built to explore the south pole so I was wondering it got all of its fuel.

380... Nearly $800 fill up!!!!

 

^ Sadly, about $1000 to fill up here in Southern California. And that is for regular!

 

There's a hyper-miler guy here who doesn't post very often, as he's chronically mocked by the bros, but he made his own with a small extension trailer to continue the aero experiment.

Look at some of Aussie sites, they make some slantback type caps for their Holden Utes- the things that look like El Caminos or Rancheros. They're ugly as sin and make no sense from a practical standpoint since you loose cargo space (I don't see the point in tonneau covers either) which is probably why nobody is making them here in the US anymore. I can recall seeing some back in the '80s when mini-trucking became a thing.

 

Those are ugly as hell.

 

Here is the Ford "mustang style". Maybe they will make a Tacoma version? Looks like this is becoming more popular, maybe the industry will respond?
