After letting our 2012 get dirty as hell, we were leaving it at the airport and wanted the yuck to be a theft deturant, I decided it was time for a more detail.

Dish soap, to get ride of existing wax. Clay bar, to get rid of water spots. You can never appreciate how dirty you rig is until you use clay! Meguiar's Ultimate Polish follower by Cleaner Wax then Carnauba wax. Five hours later, a pretty truck.

I must day I love the smell of the wax. I wish my underwear came out of the dryer smelling as good! I think I will write Downey and ask for a new scent for their product.

Sorry, no photos. I almost collapsed after doing this. I can not believe some people do the crap for a living.

Putting on recovery hook and a-arm skid plates today. That should be easy.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.

It's not what I have done but what I'm having done to my Tacoma.
Currently at Toyota dealership getting new leaf springs replaced due to the recall.

Kinda lucked out today on all this.

I was scheduled for an appointment only for an inspection of the leaf springs but then the service manager calls me an explains to me that a previous customer had cancelled their ordered leaf springs for their replacement due to the fact they had since sold the vehicle. So says that it was too late to stop the order and that they already had them. Asked if I had the time that they could replace them now that I was there for the inspection.

I say yes, go ahead and start on it!
Mine is the 2008 Desert Sand Mica colored one that is right next/behind the black TRD sport.

Out with the old leaf springs.

Nice! It will be a year in November since I installed mine and they are still going strong!

Each bulb will have it's own control module (small box). Just plug each one into the plug for each bulb, connect the lights and you're done. Oh, you will need to unscrew the heat-sink so you can get the rubber boot over the bulb, then put it back on. Very simple installation.

Yea, not cheap. Well worth not having bulb out issues and it's a bulb designed for the h4 headlight. No glaring other drivers and still bright as hell. Just check out all the reviews
