Sometimes I just wonder how all this shit happens.... but then, everyone has their own shit, and I know some is worse.

She fell shortly after 11PM, it took the FD less than 5 minutes to get to our house! Remarkable bunch of pro's!!! She was at Shea for a few hours before the actual transfer to Osborn. We got to Osborn just after 3PM, and within an hour they moved her to the ICU.

She takes Xarelto which is a major issue as the blood will not clot. They are giving her some sort of clotting agent and she's under observation for the next 24 hours from this AM and they'll then take another MRI to see if the bleeding has stopped and figure out whats next.

I've had 2 hours of broken sleep in the last 30+ hours. The drive home from Osborn was scary as hell! The closer I got to the house, the more I fought my eyes. Fortunately, my sister in law will be here mid afternoon from DC to lend a hand.

It's a lot to deal with for sure. As many know I had to leave Mod Day in a hurry do to some other complications, and its been a bit shaky since.

THANK YOU ALL for your thoughts and wishes. I REALLY do appreciate it, and on days like today, need it. If my sis in law wasn't showing up, I'd take ya'll up on some offers. It's been a long year, thanks for hanging with us throughout.

I stand corrected!

 

The problem with Xarelto, is people are not monitored when taking this med. If she was on Coumadin, she would have to go on a reg. basis to get her blood checked. My ex-wife wanted so badly to get onto that med, because she has a blood clouting disease, but doctors told her no as this could lead to complications if her blood clot factor (INR) was not checked on a reg. basis. A normal human is at about 1.4 or less INR. My ex's doctor wants her at a 2.5-3.5. Because of other factors with her, she is all over the map. Sometimes she has to go in weekly to get it checked.

What size hose do I need for the oil filter drain nipple?

Yep, just a red solo cup is what I use. Works great!

 

Some would say that's a waste of a perfectly good Solo cup. @snowtank

 

I dont use solo cups. Straight from the can for me. Im not In highschool no mo

 

A quick wipe down and you can drink whatever you want out of it? Oil residue and beer never killed anyone
