How was the fit of the weathertech front floor liners. It doesn't give an option on the doublecab. I just wanted to know how the extended cab version fits in the DC.

Make sure on the chassis saver to apply light coats. It works by attracting moisture which makes it get hard. If the coating is too thick you will end up with air bubbles all in the paint.

Most importantly really rough up places that are smooth/ have zero rust. It will flake off if you dont. And get all the rust that is flacking/chipping off as well.

DO NOT ORDER THEM. That was a mistake by me.

    It was a fail.
The back inside corner (base of seat nearest tranny hump) of the mats doesnt fit. That applies to both mats. The mats have a pretty regular squared off corner there. Meanwhile the DC is diagonal at that point.

@sente3 I would pop the debt out as much as you can and then think about doing some kind of stripe/decal to hide it.

Thanks. Yeah the instructions say do not use a converter. Maybe it was all those years of my dad making me strip and paint steel hull boats.... I just feel compelled to use phosphoric acid. The acid is more for the hidden spots at joints or in box frames. I spray it, wait 4-8 hours, rinse, and if i see significant iron oxides in the rinsate I repeat. There are sections that had no rust and are pretty smooth. Most sections that had rust are rough or rough with small amounts of rust. I think it will bind well and as you advise i will do light coats. My fear is the hidden/blind spots like the top mount for the shocks or the joints of the frame that are boxed. I can not get in there easy and I fear putting it on too thick.

The second half of this post was my plan:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/do-you-guys-think-this-is-too-much-rust.450419/#post-13202842
You said i could pick your brain about Chassis Saver and I meant to send a slimmed down version of that post for your feedback. If you advise doing anything differently, I am all ears. Thanks, Pete

I tried to get it out today. Can only get my fingers touching it front behind and heatgun/compressed air didn't work. It's a long dent and appears to have a crease. Not easy to undo. I put a claim in. So I'll see how that goes. I pay for insurance, I guess I may as well use it.

After waiting over a year for probate to end---this week, I finally got the paper work from the lawyer, went to DMV and got my new plates and title (coming in the mail soon). So, once it became officially mine (it has 116K miles on it), I got all 4 wheels/tires balanced, new replacement Bilsteins, got the timing belt and tune-up (due at 120K) done, had all fluids flushed, replaced the air filter, got the CEL cleared/fixed (P404 code-had to drop the tank and replace sensor). Whew, that's enough for this week, eh?
Next comes fluid changes in the diffs, T-case, and transmission---in a week or two.

Probably just a 10. Was looking at under the seat options but those arent true subwoofers

I had a single RE Audio 10 before but like you didn't want a box using up one side of the extra cab so I went with this http://xfireaudio.com/index.php/subwoofers/xfr-subwoofers/xfr6-44 with this under the passenger seat http://xfireaudio.com/index.php/amplifiers/efx-amplifiers/efx1000-1 and believe me this little thing is great....people trip out when they hear it and then see how small it is. I had a ported box built that fits in between the extra cab jump seats, so they are both still useable
