nah, did that once, buying 5 tires. Not worth it imo but i know a lot of guys do it. I think it's just to have a pretty matching spare on the back, you know, #eaf. The spare should get you home anyway, not farther down the trail. :D

Been great so far. Been in dirt, mudd, wet roads, and dry roads. Like Eric said just waiting for some snow now. I have about 10k on mine and they are still quiet too.

Good feed back from you and @teamhypoxia .
How much heavier are the 2nd gens compared to a 1st gen. In stock form.

I could google it I guess, but I'm in the middle of frying bacon

I have a pretty matching spare but I don't rotate it in. :crapstorm:

Besides it throws the wear pattern of the 4 main tires off.

IF...I ran the same damn tire for the life of the truck, and my life too, It would be worth a matching spare. I mean replacing worn tires with the same new tire, brand, size, etc...
But I don't. I've never run the same size or brand of a tire ever when it came time for new ones. I like to try new shit. Some strange if you will.

I am the same way. Although these tires might keep me for a few sets. I am that impressed so far. I already put a set on the wife's 4 runner too.

Mine is in the bed right now but I am missing out on serious #EAF points so I am using all my Pokémon go points to get a swingout built so I can up my #EAF status. :D I need to unlock the next level.... Mall Baller!

    @chenbro
    What size are you running?
How does the 4runner ride? should be in the same weight class.

4 runner is a 4th Gen with the V8. It out weighs my taco a bit at 5510lbs. It's also running 17's vs my 16's. I put 275/70's on it and the ride is smooth as glass. I have noticed with the Range E tires on both rigs that air pressure can affect the ride a lot. Even just a pound or two change. I run them both at 33psi. So far that has been the smoothest IMO.

255/85/16. I've had them for a couple of winters now and they've done great. They don't salt the streets or clear the roads in Sterling either, so I've been on ice, powder, packed snow with some gravel, and haven't had any problems.

Why do yours look so tall? I could have sworn they were taller. Are you running an 8" or 7" wheel? It was your tires that day on MSV that got me to thinking about them.

Lol, it's probably the black simu-lock ring on my wheels blending in with the tires that makes them look taller.

so, 32.8 vs 33.07 for diameter. What are we talking here? 1/4" maybe? .27" I guess.

Fucking metric tires. The old days were so much easier. There were sizes, they were limited, choices were easier.

So you're saying that the imperial size specs are like the millennials of the tire sizing world - they enable people to be lazy and not have to work for what they need.

I just like having a full size matching tire if something goes wrong in the middle of nowhere.

But I usually err on the side of "too much prep" which is fine with me.
