I just said i wouldnt argue if i was breaking the law (speeding).
And yes id fight an unlawful warranty issue.

    I dont understand ur confusion.

Both are saying i agree with the law.

Didnt say i sped on purpose... sometimes the flow of traffic is above the posted limit and u find urself speeding on accident. Then u pay the fine like a normal human being.

You don't need a lawyer, print out a copy of the Magnussen Moss warranty act and hand it to them. This is old school paranoia, unless your aftermarket part directly causes damage to the part in question they can not deny your warranty.

Let me know how that works for you. I'd hand it back and tell you to find another dealer.

So the warranty...... should be denied by toyota since its thru them, and not a dealership right?

Well that's because your personal default mode is apparently to not be a sensible, reasonable or nice human being. You should not be in any service industry with that attitude and nobody should buy an F-n thing from you with that lack knowledge of legal acts directly related to your business knowing their service experience at a later date will be a shit show. The fact of the matter is that a lift, acc's or different tires etc do not DIRECTLY CAUSE the failure of any associated OE part.

There are thousands of people on this forum that have had warranty work completed with no issue with shit tons of mods to heir vehicles. Smart dealerships embrace the aftermarket community and even start selling and installing the stuff themselves. Hell, our local dealer expanded a few years ago and has an entire aftermarket parts showroom now prob 1,000 sq ft dedicated to aftermarket sales and installation and they also have custom trucks built at local shops and sell those with tons of mods already installed and they make more money off of those vehicles than anything else on the lot.

Please, if you don't want to deal with people that mod their vehicles just let us all know what dealer you work for and we can have the 250,000 enthusiasts on TW and all of their friends and family avoid your establishment and save you the headache of dealing with us all.

    Lol...

I had a seal go out in the driveline......
Dealer knows my truck, and the mods....lift, some power adders.... replaced seal under warranty, and i paid nothing for parts labor, fluids, and zero arguing at all.

we are all so happy for you. doesnt ALWAYS go that way. all dealers are different, some are easy and love warranty claims, others not so much. to take one example and make it the rule is foolish. so what exactly are the "power adders" you speak of? dieing to know.

Dealers name is Kissmyass Plymouth Mercury Oldsmobile

My truck is 100% stock. I don't know anything about these so-called "modded" vehicles.

So you are the "company man", a big deal I guess. I can't understand why you would be like that to be honest.

When you learn how this business works, get back to me. Why should a system be covered under warranty and I make 1/2 the pay because a customer modified it. I have no problem working on a system that hasn't been modified.

Ie: you do a lift and engine fails, no problems. You do a lift and end up with driveline vibration, problem.

    Not far off tbh...

Especially working flat rate! If a customer went to a mom and pop shop and left a blank check it might be a different story. But when you know you are making X number of hours to diagnose and repair an issue... not so much.

I'm referring to warranty pay rate versus customer pay. Customer pay AKA book time is fine. Warranty pay is 1/2-2/3 of that. Techs don't get paid unless they are working
