    what's the thinking there?
    I'm running 285/75/16

I just looked and saw that those are a little better than an inch bigger diameter.
It's hard for me to believe that someone who had silly swampers would be -that- picky about the exact size :D

correct. I just looked up and I paid 312.xx for them to install all four lines and do an alignment. I have CC proof of payment, as well as proof of purchasing the lines. I am going to go to the shop and confront them on tuesday (out of town monday).

Here is my .02 it's your truck. Your paying for a job to get done. Check it after the shop says it's been done. Always. I understand if it's a close person you know and trust but it's still your own responsibility to check. Now that being said if you still have an invoice or receipt take it back and discuss it with them.

Another thing if you feel that the shop might do this again. It would be cool of you to share the shop with people so that people can be aware of how they do things. It's just me. I would look out for my buddy, that's all.

Edit Ok I just read your going back to the shop to square it away. Good luck!

I was going to wait until the situation is resolved, but after thinking about it, someone might be getting work done currently and need to be on the look out. The shop is RSG offroad in Lakewood. I will update the thread once I speak with them.

Entirely possible I missed them, but I know I looked pretty hard. Even now if you go to the Discount site and just put in that size, the only result is the KM2s. I did that with several retail places and always got MT results. So then I started going to manufacturer sites, finding the tire(s) I thought I might run, and reading through the lists of all the sizes they offered that tire in. Don't recall seeing any ATs in that size, but I did notice that along with the rim size shift to 17, they've also been dropping most of the C and D options, nothing but E's in the larger than stock sizes. There's still some C's out there, but not nearly as many as there used to be and D's are even rarer. Looking at the availability dates was also kind of interesting...

    I'd still like it.

285/75/17 are exactly an inch taller. True 34" tire. Cool size that not a lot of people run or know about.

When most people talk about 285s in a 17" variety, they're talking about 285/70/17, which is roughly the same height as 285/75/16.

Yeah let us know. Sometimes shops forget. Or the person that was suppose to do the job forgot or went home early. Things happen. So if they do fix the issue and make it right. It's all good.

The extra cost of the new wheels is making me hesitant. That and mind fucking the offset. Prolly the same offset I run now, would like an inch outboard.
My ocd says I won't be happy until I get that size. Discount Tire gonna love me by the time I'm done in there.
I want to see the Nitto's in the 295 size first though. True 34's may require slight tubbing, if that's the case, may as well go with the 315's.

Just got done with this hand made emblem. Trying to think of how to mount. I was going to just jb weld the crap out of it but I figured I would get some opinions first. It's to thin for any bolt or screw option. If anyone is wondering this was made from a piece of pallet wood.

I've done everything besides tubbing to get my 295s to fit. The 285/75/17s may be better though due to being slightly narrower.

Keeping the offset as low as possible will help with rubbing the firewall. Scrub radius, or whatever that term is called that measures the outside circumference of the tire sweep, needs to be balanced with moving the tire away from the frame. I'd put up with some frame rub to help firewall clearance issues.
