Oh, so because YOU think somebody deserves more than others. Well, it is your site.....wait a minute, no it's not. PT is an awesome dude,Why he doesn't have more rep is beyond me. But to say someone deserves it more than another is BS.

you are not making any sense. Why would you eliminate it to be fair? You just named a bunch of reasons to rep people.

I don't care why you rep people, I care that people are always asking for rep.

Yea thats why i stated "if is about fairness"

I think the main point here is:

Dont ask for rep..... let rep come to you.....

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Obviously, this is my opinion.

PT has the cheap mod thread and Mav has the towing thread. Those two threads are some of the most worthwhile threads on here (except for the MM thread ;) )

BTW, this is not my opinion, this is a fact, your new avatar is just plain scary. If your avatar had sex with Klown's avatar, you would probably end up with a child that looks like this

Everytime the rules change to some subjective interpretation, then everybody has to worry about it. Last thing we need is some moderator in a bad mood, or an axe to grind interpreting something as rep whoring.

The better solution is to just let Bob handle it. Just like he did with me, after you went crying to him, he told me to cut out the rep whoring. And I did. If you want to get rid of rep whoring, let somebody with some credibility ask the member to quit rep whoring. Last thing we want is another subjective rule, for something that's not disruptive.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i dont really see the need for a rep system at all. all the people that are consistant posters know who is who in the line of helpfulness, jokingness, and bullshittery...hell, i'm #5 in total posts and like #17 in rep..at least for now. before all the whoring i was #4 in rep when it actually mattered. it doesnt do anything for me to see a green bar under my name. if people still want to leave a "thanks" like where u read the rep under the "CP", then thats fine....but too many people think that green bar means a damn and it really doesnt.

EXACTLY!! The green bars don't mean shit!! I agree with Jhodge, people know what they need to know. Quit trying to think of new rules just to have more friggin rules. You guys trying to kill this forum or what? People like it here and we have fun here, don't be a friggin rule nazi.

I don't have control over other people's reps. This has always been in Bob's hands. Did you notice where this thread was? Site Suggestions. It is not in the Site News area.

how dense are you? You're the only one acting out against the rep reset. Jhodge and MM are saying do away with the rep completely. Everyone else is saying this is a good idea. The majority of the site is tired of the rep whoring.

    LOL, how dense are you?

You'll see below where I say just kill the whole system if you're not comfortable leaving it up to the forum members on what they should and shouldn't give rep to. I already made the suggestion of killing the whole rep system. It was in my first post in this thread.

Your tone is a little much towards a mod don'tcha ya think. Most of the forums I belong to that would get you a warning and most likely a couple days off. If its in good context its one thing, but going overboard and calling out a mod is another. Chill man, your rep doesn't sound like its going anywhere

I don't think it's out of line. The mod did start this thread, where he asked for opinions. So that's my opinion, and if somebody asks for my opinion, then I'll give them my opinion.

Now if I woulda just stated this out of the blue without being asked for my opinion, then, yes I agree with you.

Thanks Dave. I did ask for opinions and I knew this would get the rep whores worked up. Klown can call me a rule nazi. I've been called worse and in the real world. At the same time, Klown, you can voice opinions in a different manner.
