Tis my biggest quarrel with such large tires. I really do not want to cut the body up. I'll be hard pressed to even remove the fender liners....

 

Don't need to trim unless you put 35's on. You'll clear 33's with enough caster

 

Going 255s next time but people with similar wheel specs to me seem to have to trim, plus i'll have to ditch the mud flaps, which you know i'm not a fan of.

 

I'm running 255s now. Not a bad size but doesn fill the wheel well as it should.If I knew I'd have to run spacers anyways I would have ran the 285s or 33s.. The toyo mt 255s rub.

 

He's got aftermarket wheels though.

@AR15xAR10 I'd trail it from discount since I think you have 30 days to exchange them, see if you like the look or not.

Sheeit, i won't need tires for two years at least. This last $1000 worth of coopers really bought me some time!

I honestly do not care for spacers and will likely never even consider them...

I like the tire poke look, but i really don't want anymore poke than i have currently.

Wheels are 17x8 0 offset





Not to hijack with pictures but i definitely think the 17s yield a little better wheel to tire ratio even when you go bigger (granted these are only 32s)

 

I think skinny 33s will do me just fine next time. Besides, i just don't think i can drop that kind of commitment into LT and 35s, no matter how much you west cost boys make me

 

Those look awsome but I really wanted to run steelies. Before I ordered the 255s I read that you will not need spacers on a stock tire as long as you go with the skinnier size. $1200 later I was rubbing at full turn. Shitty part is that I read it from multiple sources on the forum. $220 later the problem is solved.

 

I'm guessing because the wheel is so narrow and the truck is weighed down on both ends...

 

That and toyo measures out the tallest among the mts. I learned that after I bought them. I've ran toyo mts on all my other rigs and love them. The only setback to toyo beaides the price are that they are super heavy. For our NW terrain that's super shale, rock, clay and ruts they are the best hands down.
I will give that spidertrax does make a well machined product. No imperfections. If I have to run spacers in the future I'd buy again.

 

What you do for a living?

 

Have about a year/year and a half left of undergrad with a business degree, then getting my masters. But currently I'm a surgical assistant while I'm in school.

No rent/mortgage is a hell of a savings plan.

 

Yeah I am really lucky in not having any debt/rent payments.
