Sorry I missed the shenanigans BUT
This was my evening; and the calmness of the "Fire pit".......

I needed a decompression night

off to the store for beer,then wash the truck,and then gameday!

 

Just gotta hang on until the 18th.....That starts a week of vacation. 3 days of which will be spent with cell phone shut off and transfer case in 4L.

 

I have over 5 weeks vacation I haven't touched yet this year.
Mid-November to New Years I'm usually at work for a couple "cameo guest appearences ".

 

I'm down to 12 days left for this year, just wondering if I'll get to use all of them. After Jan2nd, I hit the refresh button and go back to 48 days worth.

A days notice is all that is required.....need to "move the Art Studio" out of the 2nd bedroom.......Almost like my wife "Owns the place"

I can roll mine over till the first week of May.

 

We can carry personal days, but not vacation days. Jan 1 is roll over date. I used a ton of days back in the spring when I had cancer surgery. Glad I had 'em. I had 30+ personal days built up. My boss made me use them first rather than keep carrying them over. If I take early retirement on Feb 4th, I can use all the vacation days and personal days so all I have to do is unlock the building on Jan 2, then go into coast mode. I never planned on doing that, but it's starting to sound like a decent option.

 

No roll overs here, use it or lose it. I like this much better. We had people that never took time off. They were the most stressed out, unpleasant people to work with. Now we all take 42 days off a year.

 

Problem is here, asshat, our boss, won't let us take vacation time when he wants to punish one of the salaried managers. Then we do lose 'em at the end of the year. I'm all for using mine.

 

Why is asshat still around?

 

2 year contract with heavy buy out numbers. We're stuck with him until Jan 1 no matter what happens. He's starting to get the blues about being here. Me and a couple other people are tightening the screws....Gonna try to get him to walk away. At this point, nothing to lose. Some of his actions of the last couple days have started to throw up giant red flags to the members and board of directors. We need ONE more board member on our side and he's toast. I think we may be close to having that one swing vote.

I'm so sorry you had to give her that news. No kid should have to go through it.

When I first heard about the shooting, I thought no fatalities, all just minor injuries. Then kept hearing how he was in ICU.... then finally the news said he was shot in the artery and it made sense. Why the h311 does everyone think shooting up schools is a good idea?

So, the Plasti-dip didn't hold to the grill. I peeled and scraped it off, and will think about either a new grill or just real paint next time.
I did get time to swap the LEDs, clean everything really good and black out the radiator supports (which was the easiest/best mod).
All back together now, I'm tired and thinking about a run to the beer barn.
